WOYWW 315

What do you say to the month that has been a challenge, yet another week and I am craftless, my desk is a big mess with stuff strewn all over it.  I have not been home much to do anything about it.  I have been with my 83 year old dad as another member of the family died and it was my brother, pretty hard to have to cope with your own child going before you at that age.  Dad is doing good, work has had to take a back burner as much as possible but you all know me I keep going.  We are in the middle of major broadcasts and you would be impressed to know I have stepped back tonight whilst this is happening, hey I needed some sleep.  The State of Origin Rugby League is on as I am typing this and we had a full rehearsal last night of the pyrotechnics's etc followed up this morning with the Today Show so it has been full on but I still came home late today after a grueling 19 hours straight and left the rest to everyone else.  Hey a melted down brain just doesn't function eventually and I would be no good to anyone. LOL

So the little gorgeous half hair and snuggle-puss
man in my life has been cuddling me for a few hours in the warmth of our bed and he is now winging for his tucker and me again.  Goodness the more cuddles you give the more he wants.

Sorry no art to speak of, no happy mail and nothing really exciting except a mag I managed to collect today in a hurry to try and cheer myself up, it didn't work I was to tired and slept instead.

You might want to snoop on the desk there is some interesting stuff a beautiful set of stamps the lovely Julia gave me, some dies that have not been used and general arty things of interest.  Yep the powder puff is still there it is in the round purple container to the right of my desk near the masking pen.

Happy crafting everyone and hope your week is filled with craft.

Sorry about the blurry Yoda shot he just kept moving.

This is all brought to  you via the wonderful Julia at the Stamping Ground where we all gather so show our shame of mess, our wares of craft or anything else we might be doing at the time.

Hugs to all and happy crafting
Eliza & Yoda

Yoda looks lovely, blurred or not (but it is not blurred to me!)
Sorry to hear about your brother, like you say it must be hard to lose a child. My bessie died 12 years ago and we kept up with visiting her mother for years afterwards until she too died at 94. Luckily her mind went by then and she thought Kay was still around.
Hope your dad copes without you, love to your whole family (special ones to Myrene and Yoda and you)

Hi Eliza, hugs and so very sorry to hear about your brother...a difficult time for everyone. Your work has you so very busy this time of year...and I do understand as we've just finished watch the State of Origin with a record crowd, what a massive production, sadly our Maroon team didn't win. Hope you get a good rest and can sneak in a few hours at your desk. Hugs for you and pats for Yoda. Take care RobynO#16

Hi Eliza, and hugs to Yoda. So very sorry to read about your brother- my youngest brother died 6 years ago, and my Mom took it very hard, as you say, parents should not be burying their children. Do take care of yourself, my son works in your industry, so I know how long and stress filled your hours can be. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #15 xxx

Eliza, you have had a week! Hugs to you as I'm thinking of your family and know how hard it is. Your desk full of goodies is a nice relief and distraction, and who can't fall in love with that cute little man Yoda. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #43

Bleubeard had to stop by to say hi to Yoda. Actually it was meow, but I speak CAT, so I knew it meant hi.

I see you have a Gelli. Have you used it yet? I hate mine, even though I wanted it for over 3 1/2 years before Bleubeard bought it for me at Christmas last year (oops, 2013).

I know what it's like to go without sleep. Sounds like you are in the middle of a big season, too.

Hope your dad recovers from losing a son. I know my Grandmother said she never expected my mother to die before she did. It takes a toll on them, that's for sure.

Happy WOYWW from # 5.

Just reading all you have been up to is making me very tired. They say idle hands are the devil's tool but the devil can't catch up to you! So much going on. It is hard to deal with loss but especially when you have to deal with your aged parents in the mix. That is so sad. At least Mr. Yoda is there for cuddles and snuggles. Judy #55

I'm so sorry about your brother's passing. It must be tough for your dad.Seems things are flying at you from all directions lately Elizabeth. Love the books you have on your stand.Even just looking at books is creating. The ideas get locked away and pop out when they are needed and you have some time.
I have a new blog for things I consider "wild".."out there"colourful. The Vintage works are getting a bit boring! I keep selling some just when I think I'll pack it in with the shop.
Will reply to your lovely email soon.
Thinking of you.Next year we will be coming over a lot more often!!

I'm sorry to hear your brother died. Sending you big hugs! It was good of you to be with your dad. It must be hard for him to see a son pass away before he does.
Great to see Yoda, even if it is with a fuzzy nose.
Sorry I'm late in commenting,
Have a great week,

I can't believe this was your last WOYWW post, Eliza. I was away for a few months and I've only just heard the news. Sleep tight - I will miss seeing you and Yoda on Wednesdays. I'm just too sad and upset right now...
