WOYWW 315

What do you say to the month that has been a challenge, yet another week and I am craftless, my desk is a big mess with stuff strewn all over it.  I have not been home much to do anything about it.  I have been with my 83 year old dad as another member of the family died and it was my brother, pretty hard to have to cope with your own child going before you at that age.  Dad is doing good, work has had to take a back burner as much as possible but you all know me I keep going.  We are in the middle of major broadcasts and you would be impressed to know I have stepped back tonight whilst this is happening, hey I needed some sleep.  The State of Origin Rugby League is on as I am typing this and we had a full rehearsal last night of the pyrotechnics's etc followed up this morning with the Today Show so it has been full on but I still came home late today after a grueling 19 hours straight and left the rest to everyone else.  Hey a melted down brain just doesn't function eventually and I would be no good to anyone. LOL

So the little gorgeous half hair and snuggle-puss
man in my life has been cuddling me for a few hours in the warmth of our bed and he is now winging for his tucker and me again.  Goodness the more cuddles you give the more he wants.

Sorry no art to speak of, no happy mail and nothing really exciting except a mag I managed to collect today in a hurry to try and cheer myself up, it didn't work I was to tired and slept instead.

You might want to snoop on the desk there is some interesting stuff a beautiful set of stamps the lovely Julia gave me, some dies that have not been used and general arty things of interest.  Yep the powder puff is still there it is in the round purple container to the right of my desk near the masking pen.

Happy crafting everyone and hope your week is filled with craft.

Sorry about the blurry Yoda shot he just kept moving.

This is all brought to  you via the wonderful Julia at the Stamping Ground where we all gather so show our shame of mess, our wares of craft or anything else we might be doing at the time.

Hugs to all and happy crafting

WOYWW 314

Firstly I am sorry for not getting back to people two weeks ago that visited me I had to leave town in a hurry for work then there has been a death in the family.

I have been flat stick trying to sort a few things and I am running around in what seems circles. On the up side the postie delivered to me a really wonderful piece of happy mail from Sandra De and a cute card for Yoda. If you only knew how much you cheered me up, thank you so much for that I will send you your ATC in the next few days.

Yesterday some more happy mail arrived and the postie knocked on the door with it, it was a big envelope filled with ATC's from the crop, goodness me how brilliant they all are, thank you so much ladies.  I did send a pile of mine to the headmistress to hand out which I know she did

This week the desk shot is of Yoda in his favorite spot in the bedroom window, his bed is over the heating vent so it is like a heated blanket.  I have not opened the curtains to try and keep some heat in and I have to head back to bed soon for some sleep.

Strange I look at this photo and think of how sick Yoda was when he first came to us and look at him now a perfect joy and so handsome and much more healthy.

Now the atc's starting from top right

Tattered rocks, Neet, Silvercrafter, Cindy, Kyla, Fiona, LLJ (I'm impressed you stamped) Shaz, Nikki, Julia, Bluebeard & Elizabeth, Zoe, Cardarian, Ros A, Twiglet, Chris, Helen, Maryanne (totally amazing little cube) Morti and the last one is from Sandra De that came with the Yoda card.  Oh and a totally beautiful tag made by Debbie (tattered rocks) thank you so much everyone for your beautiful work and making my day that so much better.

Here are some photos of my Camellia tree that is in flower at the front of my house, it is the same as the one looking out my bay window of the office but for some reason it isn't blooming yet.  I spent that last few days a few hours here and there, pruning my roses and pulling weeds in the front garden cleaning it up for winter, now onto the back yard for a clean up.

I do hope you enjoy these winter beauties.

Hugs to all and thanks for visiting my desk, if you want to see some more interesting desks pop on over to Julia's desk called the Stamping Ground and join in the desk hopping fun.

HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY JULIA

This is the week where we swap with the person below us that is wanting to swap an ATC Artist Trading Card mine is ready to be posted off.  Now onto the desk, it is a mess I have been home doing so many finishing off jobs, creating some cards well needed for B'day party that happened last weekend and of course trying to generally catch up, well I have succeeded in that, but still have miles more to complete.  The desk is a mess and it is with activity, this is a good thing right? I even have my Latte and water at the ready.  DD on the other side has to write in a card for another birthday she is going to on the weekend.  The cads on the desk are not from the Gorjuss stamp range although they are not urgently needed they are going to get finished.  Oh and that purple thing in the bottom right corner that is round that is my loose talc container with powder puff in it, it was given as a gift and nearly used but I use it for prepping the paper before stamping, it works perfectly.  I have completed many cards, some just filing away after photographing them and others were only part done if you want to see them they are in my former posts. Moving along,

Yoda well he is hanging around like the faithful little man that he is, moving from the window bed to the office bed and insisting on the cuddles when he can get away with it.  Oh and a look out the bay window for those who want to see it.  Soon that tree will be covered in the most beautiful flowers as we are getting closer to winter.  If you want to see more desks then pop on over to Julia's place and join in the desk hop more explained here.

8th Birthday

My DD had to go to an 8th Birthday party where it was themed for Harry Potter, so what do you do for a card, well you do Gorjuss of course with a witches hat.  The Scan N Cut has a witches hat on it so that was easy.  I also cut the No. 8 with the Scan N Cut.  the image was coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils and baby oil a technique I have loved for years.  The Gorjuss stamp set is called "on top of the world"  the paper used is Gorjuss paper pad pack 160103 the rub on is a Kaisercraft one from a long time ago and I really don't know the name anymore. I double mounted the girl to make her sit higher on the card.

Hope you like her I know Olivia the big 8 year old that had her party did.

Sending Many Thanks

Created this card the other day whilst crafting with my bestie, we picked up a seriously stupid amount of pale lilac card for a few dollars and thought we would create something with it, so lace dies were pulled out and cut then the layering happened.  It was quite amusing at how different we did each card, I brought mine home to finish it off and add the flowers, it has just taken me a few days.

to upload the image and make the envelope to go with it. Sorry about the shadowing at the bottom.  I do believe the dies used were Spellbinders as they are not mine I can't honestly say.  The base is an embossing folder also manufacturer unknown.   Added a little frosting to the flowers, some pearl bling from the $2 shop and it's finished.

Hope you like it.
