WOYWW 269

I know I am really late to the show and Julia always says better to come late than not at all.  So here I am but you have all come to see Yoda I know, well you will have to read on or skip to the bottom.  It has been a week of all sorts for me, still working hard and surviving on little sleep, I tend to do manic things at weird hours of the night to try and catch up but I really think it puts me further behind.  This week apart from work I have finished another baby blanket that was white and blue as my nephew and his wife had a son, the first child for the both of them and the first Great Grandchild for my father. I forgot
to take photos of it or I did I don't know on what I took them.  So with a few baby jackets that I have had stashed for 7 years from my dearly departed mother and the blanket that I had made, the parcel was sent to Canberra.  Now if that is not enough, my father turned 81 and we had a sort of brief luncheon with the family on the day before his birthday being 26th and ate at his favorite eating hole an Asian restaurant local to him.  It was a lovely day but a little rushed as we had to get going for work shortly afterwards.  It is really difficult getting my family together with both my husband and I doing crazy shift work and coordinating the other members albeit there is only a few of us, like 8.

I have been sorting out the lace bits, decided this at 3 am, I know stupid right.  I wanted to know how many piles of different sizes that I could create.  I found this little rocking horse among the lace, I don't know why it ended up in the lace bundles as I do know where it is meant to be.  I thought of a particular person on here that collects rocking horses, so I had to photograph that.  Yep told you I was in manic mode. LOL I originally found the rocking horse in a baby bundle of collectibles by Kaiser.  So onto the rest of the week, I had to finish the photo mounting for dad's girlfriend that I started.  I think I have cut nothing short of 1200 pieces of 5 x 7 card stock to mount all sorts of photos on.

Then the business side of things for the staff, so the art room got turned into an office, Yoda didn't like this option at all, he walked all over the desk many times, sat in the tray and played havoc.  As you can see he is really a presence in the room along with Stefan that is watching me all the time.

Oh and the best thing to happen this week is my baby girl (19) graduated from her certificate II for Auslan the first stage of many for her but a brilliant accomplishment regardless, that was an event within it's self.

If you have paid me a visit in the last week and I have not replied I am so so sorry, I surfed the net only when I could and that was spasmodic at the best and did the mad million miles dash on Tuesday to try and make up for it and I should of been asleep because it really caught up to me today, I was slurring my speech and had to go back to bed for a nap after the hairdressers, I think I fell asleep at the hairdressers, can't remember as this has been my only part day off in ages.  I did fly up to my besties yesterday arvo for a quick cuppa and a hug, that was a last minute decision.  I think I was to tired to do that but did it as I have not been able to catch up for what seems yonks.

So what have you been doing?

Why don't you go and visit Julia at The Stamping Ground so she can show you the desks of the world.  Before you leave enjoy the naughty Yoda shots, you can tell he was on a mission to get mum to give him cuddles.  See that paw lifted he was trying to tap me to  pay attention to him and not take photos.  He does this all the time and in such a gentle way.

Have a great week everyone and thank you for visiting and leaving a comment.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Phew! You wore me out with all your comings and goings and doings and parties and.....! Please sit and catch your breath and a wink or two. :) love the piles of lace. Oh what Judy of Judy's Fabrications blog could do with all of those. A rocking horse B&E will be ecstatic! Ah yes the little man wants his cuddles. Funny how they don't like others using 'their' space huh. My T does the tapping with the paw when I am not prompt in responding to her. Now go catch a nap we'll see you next week. Hi my sweet girl!

I always follow your blog, for you and the lovely Yoda. Gosh that's some fabulous lace work. But you sound so tired out - slow down a bit and take it easy.

Gosh what a busy life you lead, I'm quite exhausted just reading it all.
That lace is lovely, what are you going to do with it all?
with all that rushing around, no wonder Yoda is trying to get you to settle down and give him a cuddle, he says it is for your sake as well as his that you stop for half an hour. :)

Oh my word - how busy are you? I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep soon, Eliza. Gorgeous lace and vintage fabrics. Whatever will you do with them all - apart from sort them into piles, that is?!
Do take care - don't fall asleep in the wrong places...
God bless.

Sorry I'm late getting back to you..it's been a mad weekend!
My friend, I think you need to prioritise time for yourself...I don't want you going off bang. I sound like a hypocrite because I'm really bad about ensuring I get some down time too but you have such a high pressured job...don't feel bad about allowing yourself to have some TLC.
Sending you some big ol' hugs.

Golly, dear friend. You are a jewel to collect all that lace and crochet for Judy. She DOES make gorgeous art from it, though. And yes, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that beautiful rocking horse. I was on a mission last week to find some of the same, but I obviously found next to nothing. Like Judy, I hope to make a few tiny fabric quilts, or perhaps I should call them wall hangings, too.

Thanks for visiting so often, even though I seem to have been even busier than you, but got far less accomplished.

Hugs and love to Yoda from Bleubeard and hugs to both of you from me.
