"T" Stands for many
things
today for me

Happy that I have spent most of the day yesterday and today sleeping, I mean really sleeping. I was so burnt out that I took many peoples advice and actually rested. So today after my long sleep I had some Raisin
Toast cut into squangles a cut that we invented in this house when the children were little. It is a cross between a square, triangle and a rectangle, just a squiffy off cut. I have my raisin toast with lashings of bu
tter, there is no other way righ
t! Of course I had to have a La
tte with the toast. There are some al
terations dies and
tape next to my toast and Latte that I just purchased and arrived today. I know most of you have had these dies most of the year but we are a big island that charges exorbitant prices for things that shouldn't be charged that way, retailers here are really greedy. So I ordered some dies online because I didn't want to wait any longer. Then I thought I still have another pile of lace sitting on my desk waiting to be sorted and there is some really lovely lace there too. So I laid some pieces out and took a snapshot. By now I am onto my second Latte and enjoying it. Here you can see the pile of lace and roughly how high it is with these old VHS tapes that a friend wants when I get the chance to give them to her.

Gosh there is some really pretty pieces of lace and it's amazing how much of it can be found when you know where it is. There are so many styles and patterns and so beautiful. People don't use them anymore, like they don't use fine china. I just thought, I should of made my Latte in a coffee cup to match the dinner plate this is Villeroy & Boch a setting called Adeline and we use it for a everyday setting but I love it. Maybe next time I will get my act together. This is me for this week, I have some playing in the craft room to do and some items need to be packed away. Oh and I have to call my bestie as her little boy Byron ( a dog) had surgery today, I do hope he is OK. We were meant to catch up but I slept instead. Please join
Elizabeth & Bluebeard over at
'T' Tuesday and visit some really interesting people. Mind you, you can join in on any day other than Tuesday it really is quite flexible and fun. Oh and don't forget when cutting your bread or toast to try the Squangle cut. LOL

I hate to tell you Eliza, but I've cut my toast like that for YEARS. Glad to know the name of it, now (grin).
Your latte looks fun and your entire breakfast is making me hungry. I'm SO glad you got some sleep. It's definitely going to make you more productive. Believe me, I've done those marathons before, and eventually you find yourself really burned out.
I'm still impressed with all those lace doilies. They are simply gorgeous. You can't believe how much money they want for these (when you can find them) at thrift stores. Thrift stores are a misnomer, in my opinion, because the prices of lace and doilies are not thrifty.
Thanks for sharing your raisin toast, latte, and gorgeous lace doilies for T this Tuesday.
Bleubeard says HI to Yoda, too. OK, I think he said MEOW, but it sort of sounded like Hi!
Oh YUM..that raisin toast!!
Oh and that lace!!! Another YUM!!
Judy xx
yummie squangles ... what fab name for this little trinagles ..and what great lace doilies!
Happy T-Day!
I don't cut toast that way but I do cut sandwiches. They go into a sandwich bag easier. That Latte looks yummy!!
That raisin toast is tempting. I love how you added interest even in the way it's cut. Creativity in everyday things :)
The lace is beautiful!
OMGosh you are making me HUNGRY!!! That toast looks soooo good! YUM! Now i need to go get some breakfast. LOL! So glad you got some needed rest! Hugs! deb

well, I am maybe weird but I adore lace and have doilies all around my house! I love vintage, so you go girl! your raisin toast made me hungry again, even though I ate a good breakfast with my tea...hmmm. happy T day!
Happy T-day Eliza, and thanks for the visit this week, and the great comment. Yes I did needed a glass of wine, but I was too tired to even get the bottle opened...LOL
Your toast and latte look divine and now I'm hungry as it is still AM here.
Love the pile of lace. Yes, it is a shame that many old traditions are being left behind. I still have a few of the things my Mom crocheted, we still use all the afghans, but the lacy doilies are all stored in my chest. Someday I'll pass them to my GDs.
HA! Squangles - I love it! You know, funny story, but my husband and I were joking around the other day and the rabbit and squirrel in our back yard have been getting a bit frisky and I told him, we might have baby squabbits! So, the "sq" theme is catchy! And your latte looks delish!
Nice to visit you this T day. Your breakfast looks good. I confess I have a weakness for lace, have a bag of pieces of lace, don't really use them but can't part with them either. Maybe I should try tea dyeing some.

Lovely pile of lace you have there! It is a shame that things are so expensive there. I haven't been to a thrift store for awhile basically because like E said, they are not very thrifty. Hope you had a happy tea day.
Drooling over the lace!! Sounds like you really needed the sleep. Good for you!! :)
Happy T-Day! :)
I just had lunch but boy you are making me hungry.
