Not much happening this week in the crafting zone, went to Geelong and back for work and more work then went again on the Thursday to show DeDe the KaiserCraft Factory Outlet, then had a beautiful lunch out, then went down to the beach for a quick look. The following day we went to a show in Melbourne purchased some stuff, not a lot really, just the same ho hum stuff, but got some really good books. Grilled some totally idiotic staff about the Scan n Cut machine they really didn't know how to use as much as my bestie and I did. I think we had explored more options with the machine than they had and they said they had, had the prototype for nearly 8 months, surely if someone was demonstrating they would know their stuff, but not in this case. Honestly I did think DeDe was going to punch someone out. The day was long and filled with rude, fat and horrible people but in the end we found some really down to earth people like us, all good in the end. Been doing some tinkering on the desk and some fussy cutting with the scan n cut, what an amazing machine it is turning out to be, more on that later. On my desk is some tape for DeDe baby oil for blending with color pencils, blending stumps, water color background for an card in progress that needs finishing. Oh DD's arm in the shot and DH's cat on my chair, how dare him.

If you are wanting the recipes for the Ink Refresher and the Stamp Cleaner you will need to visit DeDe's blog the address is there for all to use. She has tweaked the recipe from someone else and when I say tweaked this means it is better than the original.
LOL but that is DeDe for you, gotta love her, she is
the best.

No desk post would be complete without the lovely Yoda, he is happy curled up in his bed in the office whilst I am on the computer such a loyal puddy tat he is.
That is it for me this week, want to see more desks then pop on over to Queen Julia's and check out the array she has to offer on her blog called the Stamping Ground.
Have a great crafting week everyone, I have a few days off and I have a garden calling me and a house that needs cleaning of course crafting to do and catching up with my bestie which is a high priority of course.

I don't like these big graft shows much...lots of pushing and shoving..not my scene. I'd rather support a local shop who needs the business more. Bet you sacred the pants off the demonstrators though, lol!!
I want to get out into my garden too but the ground is still so rain soaked, I just can't..the soil is too heavy. So I'm going for lots of walks instead, there are snowdrops everywhere in my village, it's beautiful :-)
Hugs, LLJ 44 xx
Eliza what a great craft area you have! My friend has just bought the Brother Scan'n'Cut and it is great. I was actually showing her how to use it as I used to demonstrate Brother embroidery machines and the OS is pretty much the same! One day I will get one...ahhh dreaming ;-). Spotlight here has the monopoly on the cheaper Scan'n'Cut and had them on special for $499. Have a great week and happy WOYWW.

Those craft shows can be just too much... Yoda's looking mighty comfy :)
Have a happy WOYWW :)

Oh Crikey, I demonstrate at shows so hope there are not too many adverse comments. I try my best, even if faced with a new product that day (which can happen).
Enjoy your new machine and I look forward to hearing about some of the things you have discovered about it. Just wondering how one goes for infringing copyright if scanning images of rubber stamps? (Sorry but that bothered me when my friend got hers).
Good to hear you had some time off and could do some gardening and even better to see a picture of Yoda sitting there looking so proud of himself.
Hugs, Neet 66 xx
Every desk post needs a yoda for sure. It's a shame the demo at the show was not more informative, maybe theyhad only played with the basics of the machine but I agree you sell more if you demo everything.

Well, you are quite the tidy worker. I'm so envious of a visit to a craft factory outlet - must be heaven on earth. Now I'm off the check out the links. Susanne #89
Oh my, your craft room looks wonderful. I wish you hand found out more about the cut and scan. It is on my someday list. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm new to WOYWW & everyone has been so friendly.
What a wonderful craft area you have. I'm going to check out that recipe, thank you.
Happy Wednesday

You sound like you've had a very busy time, had to smile at your description of the craft shows, so true!!!!
How lucky though that you have a Kaisercraft outlet shop, love their stuff.
Yoda looks mighty comfy there.

Isn't that frustrating when you can't get info from the supposed experts? I helped at a craft show once and was asked if I wanted to do the demo or man the register. I picked the register because I had no info and no experience on what they were demo-ing. I thought everyone would be happier that way. Your cat filled craft area looks good to start playing in, but I understand the call of the garden. I did get a Dio photo today but mostly the cats couldn't be bothered. Judy 100
What busy ladies you are out there in Aus land! So much going on in a week. Great desk this week, Eliza. Three machines for cutting, I spy - does this mean you do different sorts of things with each one? I'd be really interested in your answers, 'cos I've been given a bigshot - but don't have any other machine.
Have a good week.

What a sweet kitty in his basket. Dawwwww. Love the cat that stole your chair, Cheech has been doing that to me if I stand up for more than five seconds, lol.
Glad you guys survived the show!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.
Happy Woyww,

Thanks for swinging by earlier Eliza, I laughed at the suggestion of taking a full craft kit and leaving Hubby behind! Yoda does look cosy. I just noticed your ribbon reels...swoon! Cx #28
Great space...wonderful stations, fabulous equipment...sparkle me happy place...with a Yoda on board. Thanks for sharing. Be well and stay warm ~ Carole 101
Your garden is calling you, what a delight--mine got snowed on again last night!!!
(Oooh, that rhymed.)
Yep, DeDe sounded VERY unhappy with the craft show, I've only been to a few, but none like that!
Thank you for stopping by this woyww, and you know--give Yoda his scratches for me. He looks so happy and content, what a fine photo!

#20ish this week with
Jedi mind tricks
A couple of days ago, I stopped by a blog that was on the sidebar of another blog, so I have NO idea who it was. But the gal was showing how she used her new Brother Scan & Cut. Wish I could remember who had it. It's really frustrating when you know more than the salesperson.
BTW, thanks for the link to DeDe's DIY cleaners, etc.
Happy WOYWW from Bleubeard to Yoda and the same from me. Thanks for the earlier visit, too. Yep, you may send me as much heat as you can, dear.
Can't wait to hear more about this amazing machine! How lucky are you to get to go to the Kaiser outlet! I can get KaiserCraft stuff, but not like you have shown! Lucky duck you are!!
I saw the recipes on Dee Dee's blog!

hi yoda!
Hey Girlfriend, seriously girl, you make me blush..people are going to think I'm in dire need of anger management....respect your elders...lol Let's not forget we were separated at birth so be very careful because when you describe me...need I say more. LOL
Big Hugs DeDe #13
I'd seen the Scan n Cut but didn't know of anyone who had one. Can't wait to see all the things you make with yours.

Hi Eliza,
I've not been to a big crafting event where they "demonstrate" their wares. There's a small stamp shop in Santa Fe, NM and when I ask questions on how to use something she always does a little demo. BUT, her husband can be rude when he's around..... haaaa
Yoda looks nice and comfy - as every pet should!
Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy belated WOYWW

Yoda looks so happy! I am pleased you are having fun with your Scan'n;cut'...maybe one day I will afford one! Thanks for visiting me already. Happy Belated WOYWW. Caro x (#64)
Of course he's loyal, he will never ever forget your rescuing him and letting him learn what care and love is.
Read DeDe's blog first and have to smile ironically at your show description, but am horrified that the scan demoers weren't any good, imagine! a new product to sell!
Happy Belated WOYWW. Not at all jealous of your sunshine and having an outlet store to visit! I nearly bought the Brother. In fact I ordered one, but cancelled in order to protect my credit card! Still tempted, as I have a Silhouette Cameo and struggle to do more than the basics. Ali x. #47
I'm a bit over craft shows. Unless I want to specially see something ... I just don't need more stuff. Although, I am tempted to upgrade my Cuttlebug for a Big Shot IF I see them on sale :)
Do you use all those machines? Do they do different things?
The kitties are SO cute :)
Thanks for stopping by earlier,
RosA # 18
Glad you had fun together shame about the rude people but happy you found some fun ones to hang with :)
hugs Nikki 16
You probably hurt your arm pushing and shoving at the craft show! I've only ever been to one in my life and it was packed even though we got there early and queued for it to open. Sounds nice getting out in the garden, I'm a couple of months off that still!
Hugs

Glad the craft show turned out okay and no one got hurt :) How do you use baby oil with colored pencils? Oh and Yodi looks so precious!!! Have a great weekend!
Sounds like the two of you were able to salvage the day. Love your space - almost galley style. Creative Blessings ~Kelly #95
