Had a busy week, working of course all over the place with work, I don't know how many road trips I did to Geelong and back and there is still more to do tonight. So if you visit and I don't return your visit straight away, I will call on you as soon as I can. Work is a high priority ATM.
I did manage to get in a play day with my bestie DeDe and we did all sorts of stuff. We made up for lost time that's for sure, we made some homemade ink refresher and some homemade stamp cleaner. DeDe's hands were so soft when we finished, softer than a babys bottom LOL. We also played with some Black Foil that I managed to obtain from the lighting department, gosh it is good stuff, not very bendy flexi hey who cares I got it for nothing, so I can't complain. We sanded it, inked it with Stazon and embossed it with embossing powder.

Here you can see what we made with the ink refresher some Faux Suede. I played with it on some tags and loved the results. Also you can see the embossed black foil, how awesome is this stuff and I have a whole roll.
DeDe and I went and spent some money this week and I have yet to receive the wonderful package that is at her house. We both have purchased a Scan N Cut machine by Brother and I can't wait to get my hands on it tomorrow.
If you want to see it go and check out her blog it is on her desk. I will definitely have it posted up on mine next week. There is a show starting on Friday here in Melbourne and they are demonstrating on the machine, I really want to learn more about it, I hope they don't disappoint DeDe and I.
I also have a spritzer and some stamps that I got online. The spritzer holds the markers and spurts ink onto your paper. Darling Daughter played with it last night when I was at work. I still yet to have a play, now I have a use for my copic's that I have sitting around doing nothing. I use Tria's for my colouring, so this is a bonus too. A Gorjuss Stamp and a Prima stamp on the desk too. DD's markers in a box and a photo of my dad when he was young in uniform.Yoda is happy Mum is home and giving him cuddles. Gosh he looks handsome with all his Rex wrinkles and hairless patches. He waves hi to everyone. I must go and get this posted. Want to see more desks then pop on over to Julia's Place called the Stamping Ground and grab a cuppa and surf the worlds desks.
Thanks for popping in please leave a comment and your link number and I will return the visit. Have a great crafting week.
Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Hey Girl, glad you had time to post...We had a fab day and I can't believe we made so much and still managed to laugh at ourselves and each other.... I've got to make another batch of stamp cleaner for our reserve, why? Because I can of course and I have a few plans for more homemade goodies...but that's next week...Hope I don't forget to bring your ScanNCut tomorrow.... lol See you then GF
Hugs
DeDe
Lol, did the Sparks know what the black foil was for when they gave it to you?? You've put it to good use, that's all I can say. I think I need me some of your witch's brew of stamp cleaner, my hands are as rough as anything at the moment. No amount of hand cream helps!
Hugs, LLJ 44 xx
Good to see your little man looking pleased as punch that he has you home.
Gosh, you have been busy, any chance of giving us the recipes to these wonderful mixes of yours?
I am sure you will love your new machine. My friend in America got one whilst I was there and she raved about it. Heard from her since that she is doing more and more with it. You just enjoy!
Love to you and Yoda (and the rest of the family)

Oh lucky you getting the new scan and cut machine, it's a little beyond our price range at the moment but it certainly looks like a great machine.

I think I need that recipe for the stamp cleaner! Yoda must be happy to have you home. Hope you enjoy the new machine. Cx #28
Interesting work desk, thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW xx Jan (68)
I like those faux suede backgrounds. Have fun with your new toy. I can't wait to see what you create. #1
I am also curious about the ink refresher. I have lots of pads that need it. So, if possible, please share the recipe next week.
I saw the cutter on DeDe's blog and I know you will probably love yours, too. I am still waiting for and trying to afford a Sizzex!
You asked why I would want the baby oil to leak on the paper. First, I didn't WANT it to leak. When I got it home from the store and took it out of the plastic bag, it was leaking. I had not opened it, even though it was leaking from some unknown place, which I couldn't find. I set it on my desk (never opened) and it continued to leak on my rosin paper I have on the desk. Then I moved it to the craft mat and it continued to leak. That was when Jo suggested I place it on some collage fodder to absorb the oil, which could then be used in making art. Aren't you glad you asked (grin)?
Awww... sweet little Yoda. I want to run my hands up and down his wrinkly Rex body and give him some lovin'! I'm loving the faux suede look of the tags you made. Very nifty. The black foil is really fun too. Don't you just love it when you get a great new toy for free?! I hope you and Dede have great fun with your cut and scan machines. I can see lots of potential for fun with them. Judy 93
Lucky you getting the scan and cut. I have the Cameo and don't regret buying that. Karen #101

Always fun to craft with a buddy...two minds can come up with some fun ideas! You have one dandy crafty table too...lots of room to spread out and be creative! Happy WOYWW! Sue K 16
HI, Glad you are back home and giving Yoda his cuddles. Traavelling is OK for a while but it is nece to be home.
Oh I am so jealous about the Scan'n'cut. I would just love one of those, but know that it is very expensive and I really can't justify spending that much money at present. Hope you get lots of fun from it.

Oh wow, my friend has a scan and cut--she hasn't figured out how to use it yet, but she has one! They sound amazing.
Looks as if you managed to get some good play time in--which is good because it also sounds as if you've been very busy with work--flooded out, oh no!!
Thank you for stopping by this woyww, Eliza, and give Yoda a treat for me,

Love the suede effects you've managed there and that black foil looks amazing! #63
Aw bless him, Yoda looks as handsome as he's going to! am excited for you about the cut n scan, and as it's Saturday here, I'm guessing that you're at the show, learning and absorbing all it's uses. That black foil is fab...so matt, really useful.
What a busy beaver these last few days, Eliza. Great stuff being made and done. Good to have play days, isn't it??
Have a few more - and enjoy your new toy.
