Centre table under construction
The place has been turned upside down, inside out and round and round, yep the space is a bomb site.
De De came and helped out the other day and nearly passed out in front of me, yep the furniture had got up and multiplied overnight, I don't know how that happened! I really must talk to Ikea about that, they really are doing themselves a financial injustice. We worked and worked and she slaved and slaved. The main room was torn apart, old furniture was bashed up and all our enemies are now bruised, coz we took it out on the furniture and it was all their fault. LOL

My hand with blister forming too

De De's Hands blister forming on left hand
New table took some assembling we ended up with blood sore hands with blisters on, gosh I didn't even know I had one until it was stinging like
the hell had beaten down on my hands and life was getting unbearable.

Total mess
We were working so hard that we didn't eat lunch until after 3.30 pm,
De was wilting away in front of me, at one stage I thought she was going to eat the new furniture. Her appetite these days has had to undergo a massive change and timber is now on the list of consumable foods. She can't have wheat or gluten so timber seems an average alternative, only joking girlfriend. We did have a beautiful gluten free healthy late lunch. To tell you the truth, De had two helpings because she woofed the first one down in one gulp, told you furniture was an alternative and with it breeding, I honestly think she had her eyes on it too. LOL

George doing inspection
With one main table across the window assembled and in place, with many changes in where which cupboard should go and the construction of new stuff we really did make inroads. Still have S..t everywhere, yep, including a vacuum cleaner. The rest of the house looks like a bomb site but hey it's getting there with the help of BF, she is a honey and my DD she is a blessing.
George my dads cat is visiting for a few days and decided to give his inspection of the room, he was not impressed with the mess and couldn't push it off the desk onto the floor to give himself space to sleep. I think the only thing in the room that has not changed is LLJ bunting that was hung before the change around, mind you it is staying right where it is too.
Still loads of work to do to get things put away and sorted but hey I will get there. De is over again tomorrow so heavens only knows what will be accomplished then. Hey I am sure we could conquer the world if we set our minds to it.

Yoda hiding under table and not happy
I don't think Yoda is too happy with what is happening around the house. He has started being a naughty boy again and he is unsettled and sticking close to mum. I didn't consider that this might affect him in this way, just goes to show how disturbing his life must of been before. He will be fine I am sure in time.

Room getting there still needs more sorting
So below is a shot of the room from a different angle and nothing like it is going to be when finished, I have been working my buns off to try and get things done, but a few curve balls have been thrown at me. I have had Christmas hampers to be packed at the charity group and then they needed distribution, so trekking back and forwards from there everyday before the business day starts and staying until closing. I have not been having the full time necessary to get the office sorted. Oh and if you are wondering no I did not pack or lift one of them, I supervised it all LOL.
Loads of other stuff had to be sorted, DD had enrollment today and fees had to be done for next year at Uni, that took longer than necessary but hey I don't care she is in and has her student pass/Id her supplies are ordered, so we are happy here. With all of that accomplished, the office can wait another few days to be finished.
Sorry about the long post, really don't know how to write a short one considering all I have accomplished this week. To all that visit I thank you so much, I will return the honor. To
Julia who hosts the
WOYWW blog desk hop, thank you. Want to know more about it then go
here.
I got told to post this week regardless because you all wanted to see what I was up to. I nearly didn't because of time, but De convinced me to make time. Next week on Tuesday I turn 50 so I want my office completed by then.
Hugs to you all and thanks for looking and happy crafting.

We like long posts. We hope george was welcomed by Yoda. The furniture building seemed to go well, apart from those sore paws!
Thanks for visiting us already.
I love your posts...it gives a great insight into what you've accomplished this week! Do you have 36 hours in an Australian day? Because I sure as anything don't know how you can possibly do what you do in a meagre 24!
The furniture is great - good old DeDe coming to help. Cats hate change and disruption don't they..poor old Yoda. He'll be fine when all the dust has settled :-)
Look after yourself, kiddo...you have a lot going on.
Sending big hugs and some extra hours,
LLJ 43 xx
What a time you've had but how well you've done. it was fun reading all about your goings on and I'm sure it was so much better having a pal to share it all.
I bet you'd rather be here in our cosy log cabin in the Lakes. Neet was going to join us but isn't too well and the place is huge so ... see what you've missed!!

That was a great post, Eliza! You know I love organization and so I get a big kick out of seeing others accomplish it. That darn IKEA furniture should NOT be bringing up blisters, good heavens. The engineers need to make them easier to assemble. It is exciting and I can't wait to see it when you've finished! You are so blessed to have that good worker and good friend helping you!
Kisses to Yoda. He'll settle in again once the chaos is gone. Bless him.
Happy WOYWW! Thanks for the visit to me! Have a great week and good luck ~ don't overdo. You need to be fit for the birthday celebrations next week! Hugs, Darnell #22
Don't mind the length of the post I enjoyed it! It looks like you have had a very busy week to say the least. Yoda looks content if unsettled. I do gluten free and have been putting recipes on my Fibro blog... www.vickiesfibromyalgiablog.blogspot.com check it out for some good recipes to keep De from starving. Thanks for sharing..Vickie #62
Wow! What an amazing time you've been having. Your poor sore hands! Our cat, Daisy is a rescue cat and she cannot abide change or disruption. She gets cystitis, poor girl and leaves little puddles all over the house. Do hope Yoda settles soon. I read De De's post too. Sounds like you and she are too peas in a pod - aren't good friends the best? Julie Ann xx #45
I always say with these kinds of projects it has to get worse before it can get better. That's just the way it works, the mess in the middle is inevitable. :-)
Looking forward to seeing it all done. It'll be great!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.
Happy Woyww,

Oh my word! You gals, have had a busy time. Multiplying furniture... eek! Take care it doesn't birth out into the rest of the house. So glad you have a BF helping you out. Sounds like more blisters might be incurred before all is put to order. Hugs to the little man and house guest. Kitties are temperamental about their possessions and you've re-arranged and chucked his. :) get some rest before your birthday celebration! Thanks for the earlier visit! WOYWW hugs! Nan G #69
Eliza, thanks for visiting me and praise for the 'poem'.
You have been busy, I'm exhausted just reading through it, no wonder Yoda is not impressed and if he has competition as well in the form of George he must be feeling veryunsettled.
I can't wait to see the finished room, you are going to create wonderful things in there.

Happy WOYWW, yours is a very interesting post. I hope Yoda is feeling better now, my Mum's cat has been very put out by the furniture all going out and pictures down so the decorating and new carpet over there could happen. Hopefully peace is restored now that is done.
I love putting Ikea flat pack up!
