WOYWW 234

Another week has flown on by, gosh it is Wednesday again.  I have had a very quiet week doing nothing because of my arm.  I am not doing anything heavy so that means no cutting with the guillotine , scoring or even stamping and blending.  My cards are paper piercing which is easy cutting with scissors but this is being done at a slow rate too.  To be honest it is really slowing me down, thank the heavens that I plan ahead otherwise I would be in a real Christmas pickle and not able to get the cards done.

So my desk to day holds my paper piercing stuff that I am assembling, the paper I have used is KaiserCraft St. Nicolas collection.  The skirt on the girl has cute little berries on it and the vest is a generic paper I had in the scrap tub. I have some dies that need cutting so I will be setting my daughter up later to cut them for me. At the rate I am going they might be ready to send out for Christmas. My Derwent pencils, are there I am using these for a change, Puffy paint for the white fluffy trim on the cap, oh and some electrical insulation tape, I broke a nail, boo hoo and it is the best stuff to keep it together until it can be fixed, far better than bandaids. I also have the stamp of the girl, called Mixed Media doll stamp by Julie Nutting, her wings and a Christmas hat stamp by hero arts.  My cutting knife, A letter opener which is the long brown thing, my glasses and Marvy markers for edging the stamped images when they are cut out, I hate seeing raw edges, everything has to be inked.  Yep one of my pet hates.

Yoda has been a real companion whilst I have been home, snuggling at any stage he can, gosh he sleeps a lot, I really didn't notice it when working all the time, is that normal?

Thanks for visiting please I can't stress enough please please, please leave your link number if you are part of the blog hop it does make it easier to find you and return the visit and thank you from the heart for dropping in to say hi. Also thanks to everyone who visited my BF De De on her blog called DizaArtology the last few weeks.

If you don't understand why I am showing you all this then head over here and let Julia explain it all.

Have a happy safe crafting week everyone.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Hi Eliza, I do so agree with you about the edging. I have a set of markers that only seem to get used for that one purpose! Yoda looks happy! Hope you are on the mend.

Yes, Yoda looks happy, and purring.
I am glad you are on the mend. Thanks for sharing your space with us; you do a good job telling us what is on your desk. I try, but forget to mention things. :)
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Eliza, I'm so sorry to hear about your torn ligament. It sounds terribly painful and a real hardship for a crafter. I imagine it is a long healing process, too, darn it all. I have added you to my prayer list.

Thank goodness you have Yoda to be your companion while you are laid up. He is returning the favor to you of all the good that you did for him! Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful restful week! Hugs, Darnell #17

Mornin' Yoda, mornin' Eliza - sorry you are still not there with that arm. I do hope you are soon well and able to carry on with work and all that.
I do think cats sleep a lot, especially when they are content.
Now you just concentrate on getting you better and then we know you can enjoy your Christmas.
Love Neet 23 xx
ps I love those JN dolls, especially cut out in text paper

So sorry to hear that your arm is slowing you up. My cat Daisy sleeps nearly all day, so I should think Yoda's slumberings are probably absolutely normal for a cat of his age. What a lot of young ladies you have made with their pretty Christmas skirts. Have a great day and do hope that arm mends completely soon - you've had such a horrible, painful and frustrating time with it! Julie Ann xx #55

Love that stamp - seems I've seen it before and loved it then but I'm rubbish at actually shopping for stuff I like. Have a wish list a mile long - now it's a bit longer :)

Happy WOYWW!

He's a cat...sleeping is normal!! My two are only awake for about 10 mins a day, I think!! They are old boys now though :-)
Sorry that your arm is still giving you pain...not good. You can only rest and give it time, I guess but it's frustrating when you've got a lot to do...

Your desk looks great, it must be challenging to hold your self back...when you have things you want done. Raw edges bother me too...even core colors look better inked.
Be well Carole # 67...I think I was 67 last week too!

It sounds like you are still doing all the right things with your arm - giving it lots of rest, not stressing it. It looks like you are having lots of fun with your cut outs. Arte the cards all going to look like the one on the stand - 'cos she is stunning.
Have a good week.

Cats! They eat, they sleep and then they wake up at 2 in the morning and tear around like a possessed thing. Then they sleep again! That's my experience of them, lol! Love the girls you're paper piecing, they're surprisingly large! Glad you're able to do a few things even if it's taking you some time, hopefully the arm will heal up quickly. You did comment on the cowl and my picture already, but it was on the post I put up on Sunday, I just used the same pics for my woyww post! There's a proper pic of me on the About tab if you want to see me properly!

Wow, that is a gorgeous Christmas card you are making! I love all the details.

Yes, cats are experts at conserving energy, aka, they sleep LOTS. I've read that they can sleep up to 20 hours a day, so don't be worried about Yoda guy. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

Happy Woyww and Happy Thanksgiving,

Sorry that your arm is still bad Eliza, but it seems like you are making a dent in things. Ha ha all cats sleep about 20hrs a day, then spend 1hr eating, 1 hr pooping and 2hrs playing / pestering their owners :) Cx #30

Afternoon Eliza! Yep, I have your same pet peeve...I hate the white around my fussy cutting...I have to ink it up, even the itty bitty spots.

Oh it's a gorgeous card! I also like the Christmas one. But my dear that's a ton of fussy cutting. And yes, kitties sleep a lot! My girls are still youngsters (4 yrs) and they sleep around 15 hours throughout the day/night. My old guy (21 yrs) slept upwards of 23 hours a day. Have a wonderful week. Glad you're on the mend. Appreciative hugs! Nan G #21

Hi Eliza. Our cat gets up at 6.30 am with us, and is often on our bed for a day's sleeping by 8.30, or 9.30 am until about 4pm.Then she's in bed 10.30pm.Your Yoda looks like an older cat, so he'll need more sleep.Cats are wonderful companions when you're ill. Their purring is very soothing isn't it. Love those stamped girls. Torn ligaments are no fun.Sorry it's taking a while to mend.

Good to see you are still managing to craft despite your arm and I hope things improve for you. Yoda looks so comfy and settled there presiding over all.
I thought I'd tell you that I'm off to the Lake District next week for a little holiday and we are going to visit the Derwent Pencil Museum. I will think of you and all the joy you've had getting your Derwent Pencils.

Eliza, thanks for stopping by my place today. How sweet of you, too.

Yes, dear. Cats sleep a LOT. They spend about 2/3 of their day sleeping. So Yoda is normal. Bleubeard agreed, then yawned and returned to his nap.

Obviously, no number, since I'm not playing in WOYWW. But stopped by to thank you and Yoda for the sweet visits.

Gosh, I hit Publish too soon. I hope your arm gets better real soon. It sounds like rest is just what it needs.
