8 cards in each envelobox all ready to go for Christmas, 4 purple enveloboxes and 3 red enveloboxes. These are not the cards that I will be giving away to friends or family, they will be sold hopefully. Every year in November, sometimes early December if I am running late I take a heap of cards up to the Charity place where I volunteer and offer up the cards for sale to the volunteer staff, they literally go wild and purchase. Hopefully they will do this again this year. I made the envelobox in a beautiful metallic card and simply decorated the front with a stamped image of the card inside, then wrapped some bakers twine around the box and secured it on the back in office folio style, like by BF Di suggest I do. Yep had to add her hint. It is a simple twist and twirl to open the box when needed, like on the old style folio files that were used in offices and law firms, they all seem to be the rage again.
I will however display the cards inside externally when the time comes, so people will not go opening the boxes to check the contents. I am quite pleased with myself being so in control of the card situation this year and really enjoying creating at my pace which can be slow for sure. Slow in the event of even uploading this to my blog, these were finished the day before yesterday.
The red and green cards have the KaiserCraft Just Believe Tree Stamp on it and the words are Hero Arts.
The purple cards have a Penny Black stamp and the Hero Arts words. They have all been touched up all over the trees in either perfect pearls or stickles,. In the photo you can see the cards are actually tucked into the envelopes ready to go, I like doing this when storing and bagging cards.
All this time I had the master and commander at my feet tucked up in his bed sleeping. Bless him.....
