sticking scratch paper onto surface
|
A creative day does good for the soul, also the company you choose to share it with too. Another DiZa day has come and gone, (Diza Day is Di & Eliza abbreviated, cool ha, after all it is about us and no-one else on this day, hence the name) So this time we tried another tutorial in the 'Craft Stamper' magazine. Mind you there have been changes made due to different stamps and most likely products. This was all about having a go at something different and seeing where it went on our creativity journey.
So onto the fun stuff of getting the fingers messy.

| Adding paint & pen work |
We had to add off cuts of scratch paper and tissue paper to surface, then add an image stamped onto tissue paper which was painted on the reverse side with iridescent paint then glued to surface. We then touched up the whole area with paint to accentuate the paper and the stamped images. Finally we added some pen work to the butterfly and the stamped image, being in black & white, then added the reeds to the corners. Touched up with a bit of extra paint here and then and mounted the finished pieces onto some card. One I mounted onto pink card, then white followed with black base card. Turned out OK in the end. The other card I just mounted onto black, white then black base again a rather reasonable result. I do think Di through her piece in the bin when she got home, a little disheartened, but I persevered with mine and touched it up here and there and tried not to over work it.
