I am in full swing for Christmas cards, I just love making them too. This week I have accomplished heaps and I mean heaps. Sorry had to do a dual shot of the desk as it was crowded.
1. Finished off all 90 cards for the Charity Volunteers
2. Made additional 29 Christmas cards
3. Started proto types for my own special cards
4. Garden has advanced with all the Clivia's being planted
5. Garden edging placed for easier edge trimming
6. Wheelbarrow planted for photos7. Chili and herbs planted in container
8. Help DD plant up her Strawberry plants into it's special container
Went to a craft show on the weekend with my BF, I do have to say shows are not what they used to be, I was seriously disappointed. There was the same old stuff maybe a few little things that were available but nothing that would hit you in the face and go I must have that. The exhibitors were not even selling anything cheap all the same prices, no new techniques, nada. The only good thing about the day was that I got to spend some funny time with BF.
I did purchase a few things, nothing really out there except a container, OK I KNOW I have heaps of containers and yes I got another one, it's really cool it has a grid in it for holding pens. I threw a card in it to keep it protected, you know one of the make and take cards and it held that perfect, I create a lot of the square cards, love the style. I think I might be using if for my card storage instead and have to get a few more. LOL
OH and I got some washi tape, not a fan of washi but I bit the bullet and thought I would give it a go. You can see the pile of stuff that I purchased, new stamps, card, twine, embossing folders etc.

Tomorrow is the big day for DD it is her Year 12 formal, everything is ready except the house, might get around to cleaning that this afternoon. Her final assembly is in the morning then followed up by a special morning tea put on by the school then onto the hairdressers and preparing for the big night. She is so excited and it is beautiful to watch, she will have a beautiful day and she has one really handsome boyfriend on her arm, what else could be better. Yoda, he has had a vigil at my card making side, so
loyal. As you can see his spot under the desk, kneading his bed and hogging the heater, blissful.
Quite a few people last week commented on my Cutterpillar guillotine, well I report if you want a cutter that is never going to go blunt and will cut just about anything that you throw at it. Then this is the baby for you. I swear it is brilliant, cardstock one minute, vellum the next and no frayed edges, it even cuts magnet sheets. The light show on it is super dooper too, it really does light the way.
Been a bit of a long post, sorry Julia. "Who is Julia you ask?" she is the Queen of desk hops who unites many desks from around the world every Wednesday letting them link with her blog. Here is all you need to know from me, pop on over and have a look, make sure you grab a cuppa first, it can be thirsty work. Please leave your link number if you are participating in the desk hop, It is sometimes really hard to find you to return the visit.
Have fun and until next time, happy crafting.

Wow! Eliza you are one mean card-making machine! Phenomenal! Well done you! Yoda is looking good as always! I hope your daughter's formal is just magical and that she has many happy memories to treasure! Julie Ann xx #45
Wow, you are prolific at card making. We agree that shows can be a little disappointing now. Yoda is having a good stretch there, maybe he convinced himself he made all the cards!

Hi Eliza. I saw your post on my blog about having a foam pad underneath when I stamp. I had a mouse pad underneath the paper. It's almost like the ink doesn't want to stick to the stamp making material. Any other ideas - I'm open. :-) April #61
OH! It is so exciting for DD!! I hope she is like Cinderella for her formal (pumpkin coach and all!) Can't wait to see pictures!!
You did great for a disappointing craft fair! I am a fan of bins too and the square rack looks perfect for drying (instead of pens)You can never have too many bins!!
Yoda looks devilishly handsome in his picture!
And yes. I put all of the little bits of stuff I have left over in the little red lid. And I have craft stuff in the whole room, drawers, bins, closet, cabinets, etc. but I always use what is in the red lid first! I guess it is because it is right there in front of me. You are a very good detective my friend!!

You are on a good roll in doing your Christmas cards. Your garden is so beautiful, what a lovely view for sipping coffee in the morning. Oh can you leave me a comment what kind of stand your ipad is in I think it is so neat. #115
Hi Eliza
I can't get over how much you have managed to achieve in a week you should be named wonder woman. Garden is looking good and Christmas cards are plentiful.
A special hi to yoda
Happy WOYWW have an enjoyable week hugs Ria #22
Wow, you have been really busy! Incredible amount of cards made there. Yoda looks very happy there and I hope your DD enjoys her formal. Hugs to Yoda! Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#12)
Aww... Yoda is one happy cat in that photo. Mine are starting to question where their electric blanket is at? Of course, I could bring that out in mid summer and they'd still use it. I can't believe how many Christmas cards you have done already. Color me jealous! I totally need to get on the ball. Instead I got distracted by tidying the craft room. I think that ultimately that will help the creativity... that is if I ever uncover the desk again. You are right about the conventions, not so many participate anymore and no good deals to be had. I thought maybe I just had enough stuff and that is why nothing jumped out at me but others who would have loved to spend their money say the same thing.
Wow Eliza...you have lots of energy well done...I would go crazy after 10 cards....I love your craft room it is so neat and tidy...have I said that before?....cool haul too....enjoy and keep well....
Wow, 119 Christmas cards and still going?! I am impressed. And they all look so nice.
That AND the gardening, too. I think I'm exhausted, lol.
Happy Woyww,

Thanks for visitng, Hubby is absolutely fine, doc was so pleased he said that is was if hubby had never been ill and needed that major surgery. Thanks for asking.
YOu have been bsuy with the Christmas cards, gosh that is a lot,
and your garden looks lovely, that wheel barrow full of flowers is gorgeous, and did you say you put clivia in the garden? We have to treat them with lots of TLC indoors here to keep them alive, would be rather nice to have them growing outside.
Happy WOYWW
