Graduation Formal

What a day to remember,  my baby graduated from year 12 University next year, where have those years gone?.  Here she is receiving her graduation certificate at school during the morning. This was followed up with a passing out of the graduating students.

Here is a photo of Myrene with her favorite teacher, throughout her whole secondary years.  Every child has a favorite teacher, gosh the tears were flowing and not just from Myrene.

Then onto the preparations for the big night, the weather was a lot to be questioned, showers one minute, shivering conditions the next but we did manage to get to the hairdresser and home again without any major dramas. Here you can see the back of Myrene's hair for the event.

Then home to get ready, her escort and handsome boyfriend Alex arrived early for a few photos and a celebration drink with his proud parents.  I think his mum was just as excited as we all were for Myrene, Alex had no idea until the weekend before as to what color dress she was wearing, until he saw the matching tie, I have to say his mum did brilliant on the match.  Of course Myrene was given a corsage, it is stunning,  as well as some chocolates, a silver bracelet to match the outfit and to top things off a big bunch of flowers, talk about spoilt.

So here is what you have been waiting for the dress, but you have probably already seen this and not read the post first LOL

Here they are having such fun, it was so pleasing to see that they are happy in each others company and laugh without any qualms.  Alex is such a beautiful young man and one that I have been happy to have as a boyfriend for her, they compliment each other and always have.

Myrene, also wore a necklace and ring that her Grandmother has given her over the years, a beautiful ring that she got for her 18th birthday.  Also she wore a bracelet that was given to her by her other grandmother (my mother) when she was 2, my mother passed away 8 years ago and would of been really proud to see her on her special day, wanting to wear something that had been left just for this special occasion, it really brings tears to my eyes thinking about this as I am typing.  Such a proud moment..... Nanna would of been proud and happy, really happy.

And what better way to top things off with the shot of Yoda having his little journey outside to see what was happening, here he is inside the Jacket of his Aunty Jenny, by BF, we can't leave Yoda out of the photos now can we?

Here he is twisting his head around to make sure he can see Myrene.  He is such a funny little man.

No this is not a photo of me, this is my BF......

Thanks so much for alerting me to these photographs - and "no" I did not race ahead - I read every single word.
What a wonderful moment that must have been when she went up on the stage to receive her certificate. Love the photo of her with her favourite teacher - such warmth, love and big smiles.
Hairdressers next, what a fabulous hairstyle that was. Looks ever so complicated and just perfect for a formal occasion.
Then of course we come to the purple! Stunning corsage and even more stunning dress (if that is possible as the corsage was beautiful). Yes, she looks a picture! And they fit one another like a comfortable pair of gloves as they say over here in the UK.
A very good looking couple, so grown up ... and the bottom picture ... so happy. And people who have been so important in her life got to share it too in a way with her wearing keepsakes from them.
Just one thing Eliza - where is Yoda's purple ribbon? Lovely to see him joining in the happy occasion.
Love and thanks for letting me know - enjoyed that post so much.
Hugs, Neet xxxx
