WOYWW 227

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday bought to you by the lovely Mrs Julia @ The Stamping Ground, she hosts every Wednesday the world's best blog hop, I have said it before and I will be saying it again many more times, THANK YOU JULIA
So what's on my desk, Christmas mayhem and madness, I am still working on the Charity groups cards, slowly getting them finished.  I have a new toy in the office a CutterPillar, it is a beauty with fancy LED lights to light up your cutting line, it has taken a bit to get used to but she is so smooth to cut paper and card.  I haven't tried it on the chipboard card yet but give me time.

I have also been in the garden doing some more desperate weeding and mulching, the job is half way done, but worse of all I have ripped the tendons in my left arm, this is my prominent arm too a bit of a bi..ch and it hurts like hell. Went this morning to get a cortisone shot into the arm to see if that will help.
As you can see the front yard is coming along, I have a photo here of a rose that my Grandfather planted before I was born, I don't know the name of it, but she is a beauty.

Now the backyard is slowly getting there too, here is a barrel of Clivia's ready to be planted near the gardenia's the color theme for the backyard is white and orange, perfect.  Oh and I even put some tomatoes into some pots to see how they grow this year.

Also been sorting out the finishing touches to my DD year 12 formal that is happening next week, gosh where have the years gone!  We had the final dress rehearsal for the hair, the car is booked, her partner is all set and things are ready to go.  More on that later.

Yoda, he is a happy chappy, he got a good report from the vet, he said he is the best in health that he has ever seen him.  He still requires eye drops on a daily basis and thrives on oodles of love, but his health is really good. So hat off to me, yes I am piping my own trumpet in his recovery, gosh he is so worth it, I do have to admit.

Anyway go and see what the other desks are doing, hopefully they are thinking about Christmas as there are not many more Wednesdays to go before the big day, I have already started organizing the Charity's Christmas hampers, ordering started yesterday LOL

Oh the photos are of Yoda preening his bed, thought you might like to see him, making sure it is comfy enough.  This bed is right next to me in the office.

Bye for now, hugs to all.
Eliza & Yoda

How funny you thought there was a paper named ala ELiza, and how odd you made it to my desk first this week too! Thanks for the info. I think if I use some rub ons I'll have to seal it otherwise they might get scratched and come off. Very sorry to hear about your torn muscles, I know how painful they can be. The garden is looking lovely though, as is Yoda. Well done you for taking such good care of him.

Girlfriend, I am starting to get a complex. Everyone is working on Christmas cards. I'm thinking I need to start soon. Your desk looks nice and busy.
I love gardening. I haven't done everything yet to put my gardens to rest for winter. One step at a time. Your garden looks great. The rose is beautiful.

Also looks like kitty snuggle love fest going on there. Very cute.

Thanks for the visit and please come visit my hoarding series. I need people to keep me honest. Because I need to use my stuff.

Thanks for sharing such lovely photos.

Have a blessed day!

It sounds like you have had a productive week, even with a bad arm.......I think pulled and torn tendons can be more excruciating then fractured bones.....I hope you are on the mend from this soon. Your garden is looking great and I am loving the pics of Yoda. Have a great week! Danie May #16

What a wonderful rose - still so gorgeous and planted by your grandfather before you were born! Wow! I have one that colour that I love, but it is a baby compared to this! A cutter pillar? I thought it was a mini billiard table at first! Well, it is 6.15 here in the UK and I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning! sorry to hear about your arm. I do hope the injections help. Yoda is looking so fit! Well done you! Julie Ann xx #38

Ah Christmas cards... I probably end up making them a week before christmas again. Your garden looks clean! No weed, no stray things - you've done a good job at that, the bad part ofcourse is your arm! I hope it gets better soon.
One day we'll have a cat again, when the kids are a bit bigger (now I think it's kind of animal abuse if we would get one again). Meanwhile I'll enjoy other people's cats :)

Your desk looks lovely bathed in all that red. What a gorgeous shade of red it appears to be too. Do I espy some Memory Box dies? And a pair of those lovely scissors like a stork.
Lots of gorgeousness this owning Eliza, the rose is stunning and your garden is looking so fine (mine is full of leaves as we are just moving into autumn). Now about that - do take care, you cannot afford to have your arm like that (hope it soon begins to heal and causes you less pain) as you need it to be fit for work.
Thanks for the lovely pictures of Yoda, one happy little chappy who looks to be so content padding down his blanket ready to sleep ned to his mum.
Look forward to seeing the pictures of the prom night.

Just finished my second week with my new Cutterpillar Pro, too, and I am loving it. The only thing I don't like is the mountain of scraps piling up beside it caused by all the cutting fun I am having.

I am so sorry about your arm. I know that will make everything challenging for a while as it heals.

Gorgeous yard, plants, and kitty!

Happy hopping this Wednesday!

My cats gone missing think someone took him as there have been 5 cats gone missing in the last week here and its just horrible.. I did pop a blog post up today but it was just so darn hard. Take care

Hi Eliza (and Yoda),

You have a REAL white picket fence! That was a childhood dream of mine - to live in a house with a white picket fence. The rose is absolutely amazing - but what really is special is the story that your grandfather planted it! Wow.

Dang it about the arm. I've had my share of cortisone shots and they are wonderful when they help! I hope it did the trick.

Yoda does look quite happy; glad he's getting along!

Thank you for visiting me already. It's Wednesday and I'm not working today - life is good!

Happy WOYWW

Hey Eliza, thanks for stopping by! The Highline is a converted rail line that runs above the streets in NYC - it runs from 10th ave to 30th ave and has been converted into a park, there are beautiful plants, trees, sculpture, benches and food/drink vendors, great if it's a lovely day :) Cx #30
