WOYWW 215

Not a lot happening on my desk craft wise, but I do have lots of new toys and magazines to peruse.  I do plan on sitting down this afternoon and playing lots but not before surfing the desks to see what others have been up to in my absence, sorry life just got away from me these last 2 weeks and there is so much happening in my life, I sometimes wonder if it is ever going to slow down.

If you want to see more desks then pop on over to Julia's place called The Stamping Ground where she can explain it better.

Yoda's is not wanting his photo done today but he is staying warm and happy, he waves HI to all his friends.

So that's it for me, I am off to say hello to some really dear people.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Morning Eliza, I've been wondering for a long time if life will slow down as I get older....mmm, sorry - nope, I suppose you've just got to squeeze more in or leave off the unimportant bits. Glad you're back have a great week, cheers

What a great desk. I love your little storage cabinets on your desk. What is that flat black thing on your desk?? I used to wish life would slow down a bit, now I am on disability and it feels like a screeching halt. I'd go crazy without my crafting. I wish I had discovered WOYWW years ago. But I'm here now, and it's definitely helped me fill my days. I'm getting to "meet" and know lots of really talented, and inspirational folks. Enjoy your new toys. (((HUGS)))

I don't think I'd ever be able to create in that room with that incredible view. You are SO lucky.

I find it hard to get everything done, too. At least you are taking time for yourself today. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Yes I have put away all the flannelette.I stayed outdoors mostly today, and feel a little bit better.I seem to be experiencing anxiety attacks with this as well. The breathing quietens them down. How long have you had asthma.
I have a contact email form on my blog if you'd like to reply.

Hi there. your desk looks so inviting! Thanks for popping by my blog earlier. Not sure which images you were referring to in your question, if it was the stamps, they are PaperArtsy, I got mine from The Craft Barn. If you are talking about the Prince of Persia images on the journal page, they were from a movie book on the film at my local 99p store!
Hope you have a good day.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment and apologies for the late visit.

First of all,I adore that little wooden drawer uniti on your desk! How lovely is that!

I am hoping to maybe sell that little canvas piece at some point. I am still fairly new to 'art' and since I have now finished college and am unemployed I was hoping to try and get together as many pieces as possible and organise my own exhibition. There is a place that does it for free so I have nothing to lose really. Just need some self confidence that's all.

Take care and happy 'belated' WOYWW

Thanks for dropping by and apologies for the late visit.

this will be the second time I've sent this comment, my computer decided to log me out so don't know if the first one went or not. If it is a 'double post' then feel free to delete one.

Still new to Art as opposed to the crafting side of things. i am hoping to arrange a little art exhibition in the near future, there is a place in town that does it for free, so i have nothing to lose, just need some self confidence in the end.

Take care

Hello Eliza ... thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments ... the "plastic stuff" on the card is just acetate run through my Big Shot in one of Tim Holtz's Texture Fades Folder thingies ... I have a thing about embossing acetate and try to get it on as many cards as I can but most people think I have lost the plot!
Haven't the Vagabond's been disappointing? I loved it to begin with but began to wish I'd never bought one.
I LOVE your workdesk and absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your altered drawers ... very much to my taste ... actually I'd just LOVE your whole workdesk please.
My niece lives in Melbourne ... guess it's a big city though and you live one side and her another.
Happy Crafting ... Love Debbie xXx

No, life does not slow down as you get older, there just seems to be less of it to fit everything into. With my arthritis, I am struggling to get round and do all the things that need doing. I need longer days. I am fortunate with the men doing my roof and a few other jobs. We sorted it all out before the job was agreed and they just get on with it. I know them so I can trust them with a key if I need to go out. I now have a gardener and a cleaner to do all the bits I can't do, don't want to do etc etc. That does give me a little more time to play with. Thank you for your visit this week and your encouraging comments. Have a good week. xx Maggie #18

Ooo new stuff to play with. And although it seems like life is really crazy, I have learned to MAKE time. Even if it's only 15 minutes. My life stays on a constant merry go round between work, home and creativity - all of which happen in the same location - my house. So yeah, I get it. Creative Blessings and Hugs!
