WOYWW 297

My desk this week is in the process of creating a journal page, I have hit a few snags with where I want to go with it and product difficulty, I seem to always run into a problem with the white journal pen.  I purchased 2 more today so hopefully they work. Then there is a mystery of what I do in the middle area, I'm still undecided with this, maybe you could help with some advice.  The stencil of a person is one I have created myself along with a few others I've used on the page, it's nice to create your own and use them, it gives me a sense of satisfaction. There is a variety of stamps used, some cheap ones from BigW and StampinUp, oh and 2 small boxes on the desk that I completed during the week, they hold 6 cards

and envelopes in them and will be used later in the year for gifts.

DD's beading and wire stuff is still out on the other side of the desk, she has been doing a little during the past week, works in progress.

Most of this has been created with my ever faithful Yoda at my side. He is in his Dome fast asleep, sorry no action shots this week.

What have you been doing on your desk? Why not share it with us, go and visit the desk Mistress Julia from the Stamping Ground where she can tell you all you need to know.

Happy WOYWW everyone
Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Yoda looks so comfy! Your journal pages are looking good but I have no idea what to do with the center area. Hope you get it figured out! Happy WOYWW!

Looks like there's room for T and Baby to squeeze in with Yoda. ;) Love the pop of colors on your journal page. I don't journal so I'm at a loss of those that do do these. O I'm in awe of you! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #62

Yoda looks so comfy and happy in his dome. My kids had a dome but they decided to squish it flat and sleep on top of it. I never have luck with those white pens either. The journal page is looking good so far. Judy #69

Hi Eliza. Your journal looks fab!!I adore those bright colours. Have you thought of Zentangle patterns inside a blank shape- like what you have on the right hand side. What is your theme? Is each page just going to stand alone, or is there an on-going theme? I have some excellent hand lettering you tube videos on my blog at the moment.I have been just too busy to practise at the moment. Will email you!Sorry about the bad week.

Hello Eliza. That looks a great journal page - can't give you any inspiration, though - never journalled in my life...
Yoda looks particularly comfy and settled today.
Take care. God bless.

Lovely colours on your page Eliza! So bright and vibrant! Great idea to make your own stencils! Whenever I decide to buy a stencil, I always ask myself, whether I could make it instead. Yours looks great! Yoda looks so cushy - makes me want to curl up too. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #27

I think it needs to be one bold image in the middle...something that represents LIFE to you...a Zentangle heart or something?
And look at Yoda, all curled up like that :-). I've got a ginger cat in much the same position snuggled up on a crochet blanket next to me right now!!

Hi Eliza, I love your journal pages, great colours and you know you don't have to fill up the whole page, your eye is drawn there because of the gorgeous colours or just write 'what do you think!' or do you have a theme, or a magazine cutout like the stencil shape you made....just waffling, because I can...have a great week RobynO#12

You could not waken Yoda from his slumbers, not even for us - that would have been cruel. We can always look back at last week to get our Yoda Fix.
Love your journal page, I don't use those colours often enough but when I do, or when I see them, they look hot hot hot!
I would just put some partial stamping randomly done and maybe a smaller figure or something. But then I am useless at this sort of thing and just go with the flow myself.

I love your page, the colours are just what I need today. I agree with you, these white pens are a drag and never seem to function.
It is a foggy miserable day and I am freezing, might get a cold - so what I would really love to do is join Yoda in his comfy dome!

Love your journal page, Eliza! WHat gorgeous colours. Always nice to see Yoda, even if asleep! I have two tight balls of kittiness beside me, and they will complain when I wake them to chuck them out of the sitting room - if I don't do this, Beatrice waits till I'm asleep till she comes up and lands on me!

Thank you for your lovely comment. I saw the surgeon this a.m. and although the cancer hasn't spread, I am going to have my whole bowel removed and a stoma created. Much more radical than I'd been expecting but the reasons are good (see mammoth read on my Cancer Diary page for more info!). I am going in on Fri 27th Feb. for the operation and will be in at least a week. As for Mum, despite her protestations, we are arranging respite care in a residential home for a few weeks until I can get back on my feet again and at least be well ahead in my convalescence. Her behaviour has deteriorated again and the stress became unbelievable - something I was told to avoid at all costs. Easier said than done!!

Happy belated WOYWW,
