Hello fellow deskers of the world if you don't know what I am referring to then pop on over to
Julia's desk so she can explain it all.

My desk this week has had very little activity because I have been outside in the garden busting my a...se to get the front garden weed free, then mulched. It is now completed bay window garden and all. I am so happy with the completion of this, as it has been a work in progress for years. I have moved 5 cubic meters of mulch, boy oh boy that is a lot of mulch and I still have another meter there for other stuff around the sideway. With this all being said I have now started digging out the grass that is on the other side of my fence as it protrudes into the garden and causes big weed problems, so out it is going and it will be replaced with a scoria or topping like gravel. My garden has had a real work over and so has the body. I must get a new fence too this one is really in bad shape.

Now my inside desk this has had a little activity, I promised myself that I would start my journal of mixed media this year and yep I have embarked on that mission too. The first page is not at all or even anywhere close to being finished but hey it's a start, right!
Yoda in the mean time has been sleeping his way through the days comfy under the blankets. The only day he surfaced to enjoy the sun inside the window was on a 39 degree day. We have had heat waves and then storms, nasty storms. I don't even know what has happened to our blistering summer, I really do love the heat. This is Yoda when I am cooking dinner, he really is a cheeky monkey and a nosey parker.

Here is my desk with my journal in progress, I have always loved the faces with loads of flowers on top, I have stenciled and sprayed and blended here and there, still a WIP. There are stamps still on the desk as I am not over Christmas yet and want to make some more cards, at least my desk is messy with craft stuff.
Must go, desks to visit
Hugs Eliza & Yoda

The garden is looking lovely. I don't do much gardening here in Arizona/USA..mostly the plants take care of themselves. Love the start of your journal page too. Happy WOYWW Shel#56
Gardening is not really my thing, but I do love to see it coming to life.

All that gardening must have done a world of good for your health! Seeing Yoda always warms my heart! Your journal layout looks very promising! I'll pop back next week to see what you've done with it. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #47
Eliza, it's been too long, I apologise. I have missed you and Yoda. He looks so happy in today's photo. Your garden is gorgeous, as is your journal page, I quite fancy flowers in my hair, if I had any..Cx #69
The garden is looking good, so pretty and green. It's a labor of love. I'm so happy to see Yoda. Our Cindy loves to help cook too. She has to be right there seeing what you are doing. Your journal is off to a nice start. It will be there waiting while you play in the garden. Judy #74
What a lovely garden, puts mine to shame, as I really do need to do the same thing to the one along the front walk.
Your journal looks fabulous, love the flowers on top of the head.
Thanks for visiting

I love gardening but everything is resting here at the moment. Yoda obviously does not like to miss out on anything, he is such a sweetie. Happy WOYWW, Angela x 33
Great to see you garden - ours was covered with snow today! x Jo
What a huge garden! It is looking beautiful as is your lovely journal page. Loving her wild hair. Hello and miaow to yummy yoda :)
I wish I had a gardener, and I wish I had a yard filled with mulch. We can dream, can't we? I love what you've done with your areas. As an ongoing project, this one has sincerely taken on a life of its own.
Yoda looks really engrossed this week. Maybe it's what you are cooking (grin). Give him an an extra hug from Bleubeard and me, please. And of course, thanks for visiting while I slept. Happy WOYWW from #2.
Hi Eliza,
Oh, I love to see a lovely mulched garden! It's snowing as I'm typing so no gardening for me at least until the end of April.
Yoda is such a character. After my two little dogs are gone I'm going to get myself a cat. I just hope to find one that loves to cuddle!
Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW

How satisfying completing the front garden must be! Well done. We have bark too, but our days of hauling it are over! We just get bags now to top up! Much more expensive but oh well.We might get our young gardener to do it(just thought). He's very obliging and a nice person.
LOVE that journal page!! WOW!! Love the pink. I'm not a girly girl, but pink does it for me.Love working in pinks and yellow.

Your garden look so tidy! Love the way your journal page looks! Yoda looks as though he is taking a huge sniff - must be something tasty you're cooking! Chrisx53
Your garden must be so happy to have its layer of mulch. But, I know how you feel the next day...but worth it. Yoda is the sweetest/cutest little munchkin that cheers me up every wednesday. I think I will have to pinterest his cuteness.

Hi Eliza and Yoda, oh my your garden is looking wonderful - all the mulching I did at our place last visit to Townsville sure did help keep the weeds down for this visit...so glad as it was far to hot and humid to do loads outside. Your journal page is amazing, so lovely and bright, can't wait to see it finished. Cheers - you watching the tennis or cricket, we're overloaded with sport at our place. Hugs RobynO#51
Yoda's face just makes me happy, your journal is looking so pretty so far, and I am not "over" Christmas yet either... :) but, your yard is looking fabulous!! ~Stacy #85

Beautiful garden but they're a lot of work, I don't do as much in mine as I used to either. LOVE the pic of Yoda, such a cutie! Your journal page it stunning, totally beautiful. I hope to not make as many pairs of socks this year as I really want to make other things too, but with two pairs on the needles and another two pairs waiting to start that hope is already out of the window!!!
Hugs

Love the face with the flowers. Would you mind if I copied the idea?
Love the photo of Yoda - but then I love Yoda. He looks so content and I think he has a look on his face that says he is the cat that has the cream.
Great work on the garden.

Great journal and your garden is looking lovely - I love your white picket fence. Yoda is looking good too, glad he likes the heat but its so not my thing I prefer the autumn or spring anytime! Thanks for visiting me - Sunshine girl
You did a very good job at the garden! When spring comes I will have to spend some time in my garden too. But now it is winter.
Yoda is as cute as ever!

Late! Omigard, you really have slaved on the garden...what a fab job. I bet you've been sleeping well! Good job gal, I must say. I'm glad you've started the journal and hey, there's no hurry...and you and me both girlie, I've made room for my Christmas stamps on my shelves (I normally shove em at the back of a cupboard), but I'm not sure I'm finished yet!
