So onto my desk, so much has happened this week My dad turned 80- years young and we celebrated it with a birthday lunch on Saturday, then I had to c hoof off to work to finalize the Auction on The Block Skyhigh, the final night.. Wow this has been one really big production but fun. Dad had to come first, something that I really don't do often enough but hey you don't turn 80 every year and it was special, he knew how hard it was for me to get away from work too. I only missed a little bit of the auction. Anyway this is the card I created for his special day.
I have been a good girl and I have been playing with my toys. Yes, created 4 cards including dads, 1 Journal page, got my postcard mails sorted and received some wonderful supplies that were ordered also an amazing gift from my best friend in the states, a beautiful card to go with it, plus an ATC. Yes I am one lucky girl.
So to further snoop, the goodies purchased are the delicious Dylusions Creative Journal and this is one beautiful journal, the pages are divine to touch, I can't wait to use this big baby. Also a book by Dyan Reaveley called 'My Creative Journal Journey' definitely a good read. Some stamps and some blending tools, much needed.
On this second desk shot you can see the cards that
I have created, the journal page and the card that I
received from Deeyll and some stamp pressies. Also
another ATC that I got quite a few weeks ago from
the lovely Sandy from Lonely Cards, with a really
beautiful note saying if it wasn't for WOYWW we
would never have met. How True.......

Then we have the Lord Yoda of the Manor who will not stop heater hogging, this is his bed in the kitchen in front of the ducted heating vent as you can see he is making sure it won't get away from him. Do you think he could get any closer without laying on it completely? He says hi to all of his friends around the world with a big paw wave.
So this is me for this week, if you want to know more about why I am showing you this then pop on over to Julia's place called The Stamping Ground and read more about it.
Well this is me this week, thanks for reading and please leave a comment I love them. If you are from the WOYWW blog hop please leave your link number it makes it easier for me to return the visit. Again thanks for popping in it was so nice to see you.
Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Hi Eliza! Missed you! I love the new goodies you've got. Hope you have lots of fun playing with them. That journal page is great. And happy birthday to your dad! I'm sure he loved his card. :)
Hugs from Egypt. xx
Roudi (no number yet, but my post is up early, too.)
So glad you were able to be with your dad on his 8th birthday. I am sure both of you appreciated the time together.
My heat vents aren't covered like yours. Bleubeard lays directly on top of the vents. I had to laugh at Lord Yoda and your remark about the vent. Guess I'm #2.
Oh you will have to tell me all about the new journal and what it is like to use it looks so great.. Some great projects you have done and Happy Birthday to your Dad 80 what a milestone birthday.. I see my little ATC sitting there so glad you like it.. I am also enjoying the Great Aussie bake off what a great show.. It is such a wonderful backdrop where the show was recorded. The only thing wrong with it is that I get so hungry watching it with all that yummy food.
Happy WOYWW
Sandy :)
Eliza, your linky takes you to an old WOYWW! I still found you, but wanted to let you know. :) Love the desk this week...lots of fun and lovely stuffs on it...wish my desk looked...hmmm...well, wish it looked like you could tell what was on it! lol It's a bit of a disaster. :) I made diorama's and went shopping so...you know. :) Hugs dear!

Fab photo of your Pa! Mine is now 91 and doing amazingly well, all things considered. I laughed at the picture you did for his card...I think old geezers must be the same around the world :-). I mean, just look at Yoda, lol!!
Hugs, LLJ 20 xx
Happy Birthday to your dad - wow - as you say you don't turn 80 every day! Lovely pic of Yoda! My cat Daisy has actually been trying to keep cool!!! Most unlike her! I love the card you made your dad and the journal page. Have a great WOYWW. Julie Ann x
DOH! Who's a dilly then? I never noticed the date, never realised those were the same pictures I had commented on a week or so ago - put it down to stress.
Oh, Yoda, Lord of the Manor. He looks very Regal in that photograph, I can imagine him with a crown on his head.
So glad you got time to see your dad on his great achievement day. He looks good for 80 and your card is brilliant. Love the image of the man coming out of the background.
Some great things on your desk - I don't live that far from Dyan and she is a hoot to have a workshop with. I bet I fall for getting that journal of hers before long, I keep eyeing it up as it is but I must finish my smaller ones first and then ... who knows. Anyway, you enjoy using it, don't stroke the papers too much, get some paint on them and then give us all a peek.
Hugs to you and Yoda and the fur babies (as last time earlier this morning - doh!)
Neet xx
Well first of all, happy birthday to your dad, what a stunning card you made him. We are extremely jealous of you Dylusions journal, it's something we covet. Yoda is striking a hilarious pose this week, how funny he is.
Love from the bears @#78
Eliza, super picture of your dad, and I do like the card you made for him, I'm sure he loved it.
I'm not sure I could be disciplined enough to write a journal about my creativity, but you are obviously going to ahve lots of fun with it. I try to take pictures of all my cards and upload them to my computer, so I do have a record of sorts.
Cats do have an uncanny knack of finding hot spots, Yoda looks very comfy by the heated, one of my cats, years ago used to sit in front of the gas fire and edge closeer and closer and closer until suddednly his fur was on fire. Didn't seem to understand when I patted him rather hard to put out the flames. Yoda is clearly safer in front the heater there.
happy Woyww
