Not a lot happening in my house especially on the desk, just stuff shuffled around, some die cuts piled up, an envelope maker fiddled with, nope not even a card made. I have had a little time, but I really think I have been on burn out and therefore no mojo to create, hopefully in a few days I might get myself sorted. I have to make a card for my DD BF who is like a second DD to me, so I suppose I really have to get my head in the game and get creating and not mopping around. Gosh I really sound like I am on a downer today but I am not, trust me on that please. I am going to take another week off working too, only because I can and I want too. LOL I think that is a good enough reason, don't you? I just need time, time to do stuff, don't know what stuff, just stuff.
OK onto my little handsome man Yoda, gosh I love him, here he is asleep on DD's bed he didn't even come out to say hi when I got home from the charity group today, he is just staying comfy and asleep. He went for his vet check on Monday night and the vet is really happy with his progress. The eyes will never be right and I will be putting drops in them for the rest of his life everyday, but that is OK by me as long as he is safe and happy.
BF is doing good too she is up and walking around and we got the plaster taken off on Monday so the hand is looking brilliant. She is talking normal and her voice is not affected by the surgery, as strange as that was, this is a huge relief to me, goodness knows how much of a relief to her. She says thanks to all that send their love and wishes.
Now onto something exciting this week, I have only just found out and I am adding it to this post. Marit a lovely lady whom I have met on this WOYWW group approached me awhile ago and asked if she could use a picture of my desk in her magazine called Featuring Magazine, was I surprised, actually a little blown away. Of course there is usually months of preparation to be done in order to have this happen and of course the checks with Queen Julia to make sure this was in actual fact happening. So now here we are at publication stage and I have just found out. What an amazing magazine, it is so full of really cool artwork and some of our desks from around the world. Also the article about WOYWW. So if you don't know about this magazine you should zip on over and check it out. I think I will be a subscriber for sure. Thanks Marit, don't know why my desk was used but the view out the window the drawers and the desk caddy is usually a draw card LOL

How nice for you to take a week off and do things that you want to do. Hope that it is a real productive week and you enjoy the rest as you are normally so busy with work.
I have loads of crafting outstanding so must get on and play but we have had some sunshine so I have been making the most of it - today is dull again! Ah well, means I can carry on with those tidying jobs I started.

aw, before I even read your post I was thinking at least you have a good sunny view out your window, and a lovely tidy, all in it place crafty room!! Well done on the mag! I tend to keep my blinds down (Not because of my mess!) because I'm at the front and people always look in! and The sun shines in for hours before i can 'see' my computer screen! Happy WOYWW

Good news on the BF front. Man I could not find Yoda on the bed lol, must be going blind. Aaaah luxury to be able to take a week off work. My work is so slack I have hardly any work which is not good when it comes to needing money to buy crafting stuff. Hey I just got that envelope maker too and trying to work it out, it looked so simple when it was demonstrated, I want to make a video of it to so I dont forget how to use it LOL. Woohooo how exciting that your desk is in the magazine, yours is one of the nicest desks I visit. So can we get the magazine here?

I always love how colourful your desk is Eliza, think it's those decorated drawers you have there. Really sounds like you need a week off. Your desk looks rather like mine does much of the time, lots on it but not much happening. I hate it when the mojo has taken himself off for a vacation just when you have cards to make in a hurry, but you seem to have been having rather a lot going on in your life at present. Glad you BF is improving, it is frustrating when you care for someone who is suddenly so ill. Yoda looks as if he is also well cared for, we are mugs for our pets too. Hope your inspirataion returns soon andyou can get that feelong of satisfaction when you have completed a project.

Hi Eliza,occasionally you need to take some time that is just for you, so treat yourself to just that. Glad BF is doing well, that must be a relief. Like the envelope maker have seen it demoed on Paper Phenomenon You tube channel. Little Yoda looks too sleepy to even take a peek, but then I suppose he's getting used to having his picture taken. Wonder if he is aware of his worldwide fan base lol.

I am so wanting that envelop maker, since I saw a short vid of it from last CHA, you have to let me know how its working out for you. It looks so handy! Anyways, Yoda looks so happy and I'm so glad you're such a good mum to him. Also glad to hear your BF is doing much better, hope she is completely well soon. Sorry I'm so late getting around, I've been having the worst time with my gallbladder...you might have noticed how unusually brief my WOYWW post was...it was all I could get together!
