WOYWW 203

Today has been the day of Charity work and what a day it has been, I had to do Board Of Directors business, to which I had to wear a hat, rhetorically speaking.  We had film crews in doing a documentary and PR run on the group. So busy, busy, busy.   Then it was my usual day there, when I did my electrical work, I so love playing with electrical items, this was followed up by local private schools coming through and learning the process of what the charity group, goes through in order to stay operative.

Then DD had to make sure her shoes were correct to go with the new dress we purchased for her year 12 Formal and collect the dress, photos for that will be seen later in the year when she is all dressed etc, just giving you a snippet of the shoes now and that is because they are so sparkly and blingy.

Then I had to go and get some food, yes I had my priorities right, lollies LOL  I have food allergies that are pretty bad and one is a yellow colouring called Tartrazine (102) also known as yellow #5 that causes anaphylaxis reactions, well to cut a long story short ALDI which is a food store here in Australia and other countries of the world no doubt, have a naturals line of lollies with out the nasty food colourings.  It has been 28 years since I have eaten sugar bananas which are yellow hence the bad colours etc... Well Aldi have bananas without the nasty colours and I just had to have some. LOL  I have probably eaten half a bag whilst preparing this blog post, but they are so yummy and worth waiting 28 years for.  I also found some Licorice Allsorts it probably has also been about 28 years since eating them too.

So my desk is choc o block full of Aldi sweets and a few art treasures under there, started on a journal page from the Mixed Media Group but only got to put the colours down and stopped and watched the rest.  My favourite Lyra Crayons are part of the page, hence the paper underneath with the bright colours on it.  My laptop is still on the desk from that broadcast, I usually try and keep up with the show and create as I go, but this didn't work out yesterday.  Of course my favourite rag is on the desk, bet you can't find that one, it is used to wipe everything. LOL  Yep the desk is full of craft and lollies, I think I will have to do something about that lolly situation in order to play, hhhhmmm the question is do I eat my way through the lollies to find the desk or just move them to a safer place and consume them slowly.  LOL.  I think the second option is probably the better one, gosh don't want diabetes from rediscovering sugar bananas do I! LOL

Then you have the little man Yoda, he is doing good, actually the weather here in Melbourne today has been cold and raining so what does he do, snuggle against the central heating vent, gotta love the furry one for being a heater hog.  He has bald patches as part of his breed, if you zoom in you will see under his head and his chest are fur free, that's if you can see past his wrinkles, also part of the breed.  He is so happy there, it's hard to disturb him, it would be criminal especially when he is likes heater hogging.  Sorry not a good photo of him he was not co-operating, I think you understand why.

So that is me for the day.  Why have I told you all this stuff, well pop on over the The Stamping Ground and read more on the desks with the Queen of desks revealed in a tell all, yep Queen Julia can explain more.  So until next time, hopefully you like what you see and read and come back.  I love comments, so please leave one and if you are part of the desk hop please leave your number, it makes it easier for me to find you.  I will return your visit regardless.

Hugs Yoda & Eliza

Love those shoes - not that I could wear them methinks. We've got an Aldi just bought some garden furniture from there, very pleased with it but now the sun has gone again and it might be frosty again at weekend - boo. Anne x #62

Well sweets on the craft table sounds fab to me, I always craft better with a snack on hand (paw)

Hello Yoda, you're looking like the shy and retiring type today.

Thanks for visiting the bears today.

Yoda looks as though he is sulking. So pleased that you are able to enjoy those sweets again.A friends son was hyper hyper active when young, if he ate anything with yellow colourings ...then when his mum worked it out, he was a different child.
Love the shoes xx58

Hi, Eliza! Gorgeous shoes fit for a princess. I think you should keep a few of your candies at hand (you might get faint from low blood sugar -- hahaha) and put the rest away so you'll have to get up from the chair to get more. I find I have to do things like that. Give Yoda a pat for me. Smart boy getting right up to the heat. Happy WOYWW from Laura #96 (thanks for the visit!)

Hi Eliza, happy Wednesday to you.
Oh my goodness, you have just about all my favourites there, shoes, sweets and crafting. I don't suppose you have a glass of wine down there too?
Have fun, cuddles to Yoda

He is beautiful as where he sits and how he sits. Love to Yoda first of all.
My, you have been busy today. Sounds as though you had to change hats too - but what a treat when you got home. Yes, we have Aldi stores here in the UK but I never knew about the colour free stuff they have. Well free from what harms you.
I am forever talking of going on a diet and then I see chocolate and that is it. I can't help myself.
You take care, and take care of that little man - and also keep a close eye on those blingy shoes.
Hugs, Neet xx

You'd better hide those bananas...Julia adores them!! How brilliant that you found some without the additives though..now the problem will be not buying them cos they're too tasty!!
Blimey, girl, but you pack a lot into your life. I thought I was busy but you really do win hands down. I think more crafting downtime is in order! Say 'Yes, Aunty LLJ' !!!

I think you deserve to be able to indulge yourself after 28 years. Good heavens I get withdrawal symptoms if I miss out on chocolate in one form or another after a couple of days lol. Yoda is looking good, I don't blame him for hogging the heat source, bless him.
Happy Art Making

I think you are having a sugar rush Eliza!! You wrote LOL so many times!!! Good for you, you deserve to eat your way to the art!
Yoda looks lovely. Kitty does the same thing! One of our heating ducts is under the sink cabinet in the kitchen and it blows at him, instead of under like Yoda. I look at him with his eyes closed and his fur gently blowing. Cats are so fun!!!

Very sparkly shoes : D. Hope your daughter has a great time at her formal. And Yoda is just awesome.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I've been thinking about doing a spinning post, so keep a weather eye out. It takes 3 minutes to get the concept down, and then the rest of your life can be spent learning new things about it. : D. #88

I'm just going to bypass the crafty bits and even handsome Yoda today and concentrate on the happy news that you've found sweets that you can eat after TWENTY-EIGHT years!! What a happy, happy day! Do pace yourself, not only for the diabetes concern, but also because you don't want to get sick of them quickly after waiting all those years!!

Thank you, Eliza, for coming by to visit me! Have a wonderful sweet week! Darnell #52

Ooh, banana lollipops sound amazing! I devour banana shakes like they are air! Which I guess for my weight its a good thing we don't have any place in town that makes them, huh? I can only get them in a bigger city an hour or more away from here! lol And our Aldi's doesn't have the banana lollipops. :( Oh well. Anyways, thanks for leaving me a comment already...I've only recently gotten into the washi tapes myself. It turns out they are really easy to use and a super quick easy way to add a pop of color and pattern to a card. In other words, I am not totally sold on them! lol :) ~Deeyll

Ooooo those shoes are super elegant and beautiful. Ahhhh how cute is your cat, bless. Love all the bits on your desk and a huge congratulations to finding your bananas after 28 year's. My daughter was diagnosed last year of being coeliac. We all become so excited if we find a product without all the nasty gluten in. Happy woyww :-) Kezzy xxx
