This weekend is Easter it only seemed like last week was Christmas and here we are with another WOYWW posting. For me this week I have had a different desk, I have been putting in mega time outside in the garden. Firstly and most importantly I have grass in my backyard, yep real turf that you can walk on, but not quite yet. It needs minimal people walking on it until it settles and grows, but hell what the hell I don't care I have grass. I am so excited it has been nearly 7 months in the creating process this backyard revamp, tedious to say the least but things have progressed and I have grass. I need now to look at what plants to put in the garden beds, most likely roses and some azaleas and clivias, relatively easy stuff to take care off. The garden mulch is down and looks awesome, black against the terracotta of the concreted area is really pleasing and now that the grass in down it looks even better.
I still have a lot to do out there but hey it has come a long way since is was bobcatted last year in August/September.
So I think you understand why I have not done much art, been a little busy.
Oh and no that is not my DH that is the landscaper
doing his job, great job he is doing too.
So now onto my desk, the little Yoda is happy staring out the window and checking out what I am up to from time to time. He is so well and happy now and getting into everything, things that cats should be doing. The low life relatives didn't get him and now they are up closer to the boarder of New South Wales and this weekend they will be in Canberra our nations capital for a wedding, so he is safe for a little longer.
Then on the desk is the journal book, I did a background page and used my totally must have homemade stamp and I do have to say it really is essential, I am so tickled pink with it and it will most likely live in my favourites box to come out all the time when stamping is done. You know like that mandatory signature stamp or product that you just have to use all the time LOL...... So the desk is a little messy with paper on it and other bits n bobs but I am ok with this, I just love being able to leave my desk, walk away and/or go to work and come back and it is the same untouched. Although and I do say although I might be lucky and find a cat sleeping on my journal or paper LOL from time to time, because that is their job, right?.......
Now the last bit for the day I have to show you another photo and this one makes me laugh every day. Yoda my little rescue man, loves to watch me cook and tell me little secrets whilst I am cooking, this is how he does it. It doesn't matter how long I am at the cooktop he is like this........
Yep this is the view I have when cooking these big beautiful eyes staring at me, hoping to get a wiff of delicacy delights.... LOL This little chair he stands on, belongs to my Son Michael, he used when he was a toddler he is now nearing 27.
Oh and this is my other cat Ditto having a rest, he is watching me in the garden making sure no-ones disturbs me, actually he is a bit of a slug and lays around keeping me company. He is beautiful, love him to bits too. So this is me this week, busy going into a weekend of footy broadcasts and then the Logies are on next week and that is crazy time for me, but I will still try and stop in and say hi to my WOYWW buddies. Happy Easter everyone, please if you are travelling be safe, if you are in the cold, please have some beautiful sunshine from me and stay warm. Otherwise be happy that is what life is about...... Do you want to see more desk then pop on over to see Julia at the Stamping Ground and have a look, please join us if you haven't already it really is a fun weekly blog hop. You will see many desk in all sorts of state, some are down right funny.
Hugs Eliza

Yoda looks so cute whilst watching you cook and Ditto is doing his bit too whilst you rest. Lovely babes.
The garden is looking just great - what a lovely flat lawn. Will it be hard to keep that way in your sunshine? Hope not. Have many happy hours with your babies (and keep Yoda safe from those folks).

Your desk looks like a haven of tranquility doesn't it, I bet you love to get to it when you can...specially with the company! Yoda is so much a different cat now isnt he, more power to you!
I have mowed my lawn three times so far and then it turned winter again. The last few days have been snowy and cold in East Tennessee. Glad you are warm and love your outdoor space. It is just so inviting!

You have grass and sun! Our grass is hidden by snow and there are still white flakes coming down. The background to your journal is looking fab and I love the way that Yoda is sat keeping an eye on both you and the gardener! Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x #73

A spring. Still only a distant dream here. But that shot of your cat up close just made me laugh out loud. That will do for substitute sunshine...

Wonderful, entertaining post, Eliza! I am so delighted for you that you have grass and that the backyard is finally entering the last phases!!
Thanks for the desk views and the hysterical views of Yoda standing there watching you cook, what a hoot!! And fun, too, to see Ditto!
Happy Easter and all the best for a wonderful week! Darnell #43
I am so happy to hear that there were no issues with Yoda's previous owners. He looks like he is quite jealous of the stove and wants your attention! lol Thanks so much for visiting me today, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
Your yard looks amazing! I wish I could just have a flat one!
omg I am so jealous of your grass and SUN!!!! I am so sick of the never ending snow here! Wish I could come over and sit like your kitty on the chair with a beautiful view.
Your backyard is looking great, though I have to smile at the term 'backyard' here in the UK a backyard is usually a small flagged area at the back of a terraced house where the dust bins are kept, and where the outside loo was located lol. I have a new reason to pop over to see you now (other than having a peek through the window in your craft room) and that is Yoda I love all your pics of the 'little' fella.
Have a Happy Easter

YAY for Grass! Enjoy being outside. I'm sure soon it will be incredibly warm. I LOVE your kitties. Yoda is positively ADORABLE! My Spirit use to climb up my back when he was a kitten and sit on my shoulder while I did dishes. Then he discovered bubbles were for playing in. He loves water!
Yes, our furry friends do like to be in whatever we're up to. Hope the paint is dry in the journal before Yoda takes his nap on the pages. :-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #158
Eliza, your cats are ADORABLE! Love Yoda watching you cook, my fur-baby does that from his scratching post, which sits in the kitchen doorway - he's always hopeful of a morsel of something lol!!
And your garden looks great, look forward to seeing pics as it progresses.
Happy woyww
