So onto the desk the reason I am here, as you can see Yoda is front and centre looking really healthy, he can now jump and climb, he jumped up onto the bar stool the other day, I was so excited it was like watching your baby walk for the first time. He is getting around everywhere and being a really nosey parker. He even now jumps onto the kitchen bench and watches the fish swim in their tank. I am sure he has never seen fish before, he is such a funny little man and so demanding of cuddles.

Tonight he is going to my best friends for a few nights as his former owner will be in town and I think they are going to try and get him back, there is no way in hell that is happening so he is going into hiding. I can not hand over this beautiful boy to those mongrels. I hate having to hide him but it seems the best option for the moment. I feel like a thief doing this, but it is for Yoda's good and my love for him in the end, it still doesn't help the guilt feeling justifying.
I also have on my desk a fantastic and very springy card from the lovely Helen oh and another card, gosh she makes really beautiful cards it was such a lovely gesture to receive these beauties plus a bag of embellishments. Unfortunately the spring card had a spill on it from the post, must of got a little wet on the journey to Australia, still beautiful regardless. Aslo the Many Thanks card has this shaker box and you could hear it rattle in the envelope, it peaked my curiosity and my husbands. All the words in the shaker box say 'thanks' in many different languages, how intelligent to do that.
My Journal is still on the desk and a technique I did during the week with resist, it turned out really well against the stained background. Oh and that lovely stamp has not been used yet hopefully in the next few days, I have been working the Formula 1 Grand Prix Breakfast broadcast so not a lot of time was available to play this week and of course the football season has started again, so the same routine on the road again is happening to me.

So a huge thank you to Julia at the Stamping Ground for hosing the weekly blog hop if you want to see more desks then pop on over and check her blog out, you might even want to bare all and join in, trust me it is fun.
Bye for now
Hugs to all Eliza

Your backyard is looking fantastic and I am sure in the end it will be worth all the hassle. Yoda looks so cute on your desk and I am sure he will be safe and fine at your friends house for a few days. The Cards you received from Helen are lovely, so clever to put all those thanks in different languages like that..
Take care
Sandy :)

Your back yard will be worth all the hard work I am sure, it's gorgeous! Love the cards, too. Have a good (if busy sounding!) week. Helen, 8
Don't have a moment of guilt..Yoda's 'owners' gave up their rights in my opinion, and I'm super impressed by his recovery, you're really giving him the confidence he needs. Bless you! No wonder you haven't had a lot of desk time - look at that huge yard..what a great achievement.
Wow, what a fantastic back yard and what lovely cards. How can those horrid people expect to get Yoda back? And for what? To ill-treat him again. So glad you have sent him away on a short holiday. I love seeing pictures of him as he now is and hope with all my heart that he is safe and well for the rest of his life.

I am not a cat person due to something that happened to me as a child but I do hope you are able to keep your baby safe and that you get no trouble from his previous owners.
What lovely cards that were sent to you I love the idea of the thanks in the shaker card
Wishing you a Happy WOYWW

Beautiful cards you've received. In no way feel guilty about saving or hiding Yoda! They don't deserve him! They should be treated as they treated Yoda, shameful peeps! He has really come to life with you. It's so nice to see him thriving now! Happy WOYWW! Nan #3
Those cards are just lovely! Lucky you. And yes, you will surely enjoy your yard once all the hard work is done :) Well done on the cat rescue too and I agree that hiding him from potential harm is the right thing to do.

Super cute cards. Renovation is always so much work but so worth it in the end. You're going to love your awesome outdoor space. Sue #126
I think you are protecting yoda! Beautiful spring cards. thank you for your visit, I work to, so I am hoping that Imcan inspire others to get the software, and when a person wants to be social, you would just "go their" and others will be live.
That way folks who, work like you and I are not tied down to a time...that would be hard right now. For me...
Bless you for your visit!
Yoda looks pretty cute there on your desk. Good for you, keeping him safe. The yard work looks like it will be really nice -- your patience and hard work will pay off. Thanks for visiting me and commenting. Happiest of WOYWWs to you, Eliza. ~ Laura #115

hmmm, sunshine, the makings of a pool....jealous, moi?? Lol... Oh boy, could we do with some of your Aussie heat, this winter seems to have dragged on for ages. It's supposed to be Spring for heaven's sake!
I hope that you manage to get Yoda hidden away, you have done so well with him, he looks a zillion times better than when you first got him, it would criminal if his first owners tried to get him back....Good Luck with your endeavours.
Hugs, LLJ 45 xx

Thanks so much for popping over and for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x #25
Now I don't quite remember what your yard looked like before...will you show us a before and after when its completed, just so we can see the big difference, um, cuz we're(and by we I mean me) too lazy to look the other (before) picture up? :) The fence is gorgeous, by the way. I don't know why but I love the look of fresh wood. Its so warm and natural looking. A comment to which I feel like going, Duh Deeyll. It is warm, when on fire, and it is natural, its wood! lol Anyways, sorry you haven't had much playtime, I haven't either. No school work but tons of cleaning to do...I tend to severely neglect it at times...lol I don't miss it though! :) Anyways, I don't know how guilty I would feel about "hiding" Yoda. Love means doing what is best for the loved one and that is something you should never feel guilty about. You should be proud you love him enough to do the tough things, like putting him on a diet and taking him to the Vet. Why should people who didn't love him as well make you feel bad about how good and how much you love him? They shouldn't! So don't let them. Stick to your guns. ;) That's probably a southern US saying, but I think you get the gist. Did you know gist was spelled with a 'g'? I thought it was spelled with a 'j' but thank you Firefox for correcting me! :) I better tag a few more desks and then its back to cleaning for me. Hugs dear! Deeyll #161
Oh if I was there I'd be happy to guard Yoda, you have done so much for him, he is a totally different cat. You will have to keep us updated if that original owner shows up! I think Yoda would be devastated if he had to leave you! Thanks for visiting me today my friend, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
Hello Eliza, I hope all works out well for Yoda and I really don't think you should be guilt tripping over keeping him - he deserves the love, contentment and peace you are giving him.
The cards are gorgeous - I love the flowers on both.
Hope you have a great week. Elizabeth x #55
How did you get Yoda in the first place?
Cant wait to see your new and improved yard
Bridget #157
I don't know Yoda's story, but from what you said, I think you absolutely are doing the right thing. Would you feel guilty about not letting a child go back to abusive parents?
Your cards are lovely; can't wait to see what you do with the sewing stamps.
Hi Eliza,
I have a very small backyard and put down fake lawn about five years ago. I tried to grow the real stuff and it just never took. I must say, I love the green and not having to maintain it is perfect! Your backyard looks like it's progressing quite nicely.
Poor little Yoda. I agree, hide him!
The cards you received in the mail are very nice - and your project is looks great!
Thanks for visiting me already. I'm slowly getting around this week.
Happy WOYWW

Such lovely things on your desk Eliza. Isn't it wonderful to receive happy mail. Happy belated WOYWW and thanks for dropping by, hugs Jenny x
What a fun and filled post, Eliza!
Except for one distressing section. I don't have time at the mo to read all the other comments, but I am guessing I will join a litany of others exclaiming that you must not feel ONE MOMENT's guilt for squirreling Yoda away from the dumb asses who abused him! Good grief, no! Don't make me come over there now, ya hear?
Thank you. I had to get that off my chest!
Helen's cards are awesome, as is what you are doing outside! It will be so wonderful when you get it finished. I know how long it takes and how much work it is, but it's also SO exciting!
Thanks for coming by the Playhouse earlier. You are ahead of me on the WOYWW touring! Have a great week!
(I'm so tickled to hear that Yoda is jumping! You should be as proud as any parent of a human child!!) Darnell #42
Ooh those cards really are lovely! :)
