WOYWW 179 GREAT NEWS

You can see the machine also my processed Christmas
Cards off to the side more on that later.
Wow I have to say a big thank you to Zeffy who put me onto Sizzix in the quest of the Vagabond Machine and the electrical dramas that occurred with it.  After a bit of correspondence with them they said they would send a replacement machine and it has arrived safe and sound.  Yes they came through with the machine what a fantastic thing, lets hope and I am not tarnishing this hope with negativity, but I hope and pray the machine is good and doesn't blow up.  Time will tell.  So here the baby is in the box and wrapped up nice.  There is my daughter in the background in shock that it arrived.

Now onto why I am posting so late and it has just gone midnight here so sorry Mrs Dunnit but I have been really, really busy, my backyard has been bulldozed literally, well bob catted actually.  It was a disaster, in the backyard and we have had contractors coming and going and decided to bite the bullet and get it fixed up, we needed a new fence desperately and the neighbours have been putting us off for years, but we pushed them into it and they had no choice.  So the yard is going, going, oooopppps gone.  Just a dirt pile now except for my beautiful Nashi tree and my Lime tree.  Even the clothes line has been pulled down and chucked.

You can see my dear dad in the stripped shirt supervising the job, actually the man driving the bobcat is a long time friend of his that we got in to do the job and they were like children in a candy shop.  60 Tonne of dirt and waste got taken away from the yard, now that is a huge amount and yes it is a huge yard.

In the mean time the lord of the manor was contented that I was not using my office chair and took over residence, isn't he beautiful! this is my cat Ditto.  I do wonder if he was comfortable..........

So below is the desk shot taken tonight and the pile of cards for the volunteers cut out, embossed and in need of assemblage.  I have completed all of them colouring and all, bar 26, so all going good, the decision to go with the white, green and red was the most popular, so that is what they are.

Yep the egg shells are still on the desk and waiting for me to use them, don't know when this will happen.

Yoda the dear boy, here he is touching me while I am trying to type this post, he just wont let me get on with it.  He is not happy being second fiddle ATM.  Now some news about him, I took him to the vet because he wasn't doing as well as he should of been, his eyes got worse and he was irritated by his ears.  A fortune later eye drops, ear drops and vitamins he is back on the road to recovery, but I think he is starting to dislike me for giving him the drops 3 times a day in his eyes and once a day in his ears.  He has a condition called Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca, only the second case and the worst the vet has seen in 25 years of practicing, his immune system was bad and shot to hell.  Basically if I had of left the treatment for another 2 months Yoda would of been permanently blind.  So now he is on the road to goodness.  He doesn't have cataracts like his owner said, he has this eye condition caused by his living conditions which were horrific as you know.

So that is me this week, sorry about the long post, just started this new filming contract for the Great Australian Bake Off and working on it now until December 21.   Might find it difficult to post and visit but I will do my best possible.

Oh and I nearly forgot to add that I had a little accident last Friday and fell off the roof of the house the ladder broke and collapsed from underneath me when I was about to step onto the roof and I fell to the ground landing on my feet.  Woooooow it was a fall, I have a limp and really sore legs but nothing broken, only now been able to walk around in the last day.  Today much better......  No my husband didn't get on the roof because he suffers from Vertigo and I can't torture him like that.  All in ok, just lucky..........

Why am I showing you and telling you all this, why don't you head on over to Mrs Dunnitt's and see why it is a wonderful place to get lost and escape, oh and also to spy on others..........  Visit the Stamping Ground to find out more.

bye for now and happy WOYWW everyone.

YAY! You got a new vagabond! I still use a cuttlebug, and TH's dies work fine in it. I know, I'm still in the stone age!!
How did you get a picture of Kitty? Did he come to visit you? The only difference between him and Ditto that I can see is Kitty is fatter. And Yoda, poor thing! He is a fighter!
Your cards look awesome!!!
We are getting a snow storm now, starting tonight. I hope it does/doesn't take the tree down. If it takes it it will be good, as long as it doesn't reach the house. If it doesn't, then we will have to, I think. The insurance is being stupid right now.
Have a good one!

I'm so glad you survived the fall and are doing better! That must have been scary...My son won't let me even try to get on the roof because I fell several years ago, getting into an oversized moving van, and it scared him terribly, so I can't put him through that. But he won't get up there either! lol So we wait for one of my brothers to come by. They're skinny little young things and they just hop right up there! Anyways, glad to see how much progress you've made on your project and your new Vagabond, like you I hope it works well. The project in your backyard didn't take away that beautiful japonica camelia tree did it? Or is that tree in your front yard? Such a beautiful tree...soon you'll have a beautiful backyard to boot, huh? Well, I hope the project goes smoothly and turns out marvelously. And that Yoda sure is blessed to have such a caring owner now, even if he doesn't like the drops you're still giving them to him for his own good and that takes some doing, I bet. :) "Talk" to you later and thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment already. :) Deeyll

Happy WOYWW and so glad you are ok after your fall. You are really lucky not to do yourself some serious injury. Both me and hubby have vertigo, so we leave high up jobs to someone else! Look forward to seeing pics of the finished yard. That Vagabond looks great in the box - just the packaging is exciting. Ali x #63

I loved your post! Poor Yoda, glad you've found out what's bothering him and that he's on the road to recovery. I agree with Zeffy too, that's an amazing production you've got going on - I've yet to make the second of a pair of handwarmers I knitted recently!! Hope you're not too sore tomorrow, enjoy the rest of your week x

Men and their toys, no matter what their age, they sure love playing...errr working! Ditto looks like he is trying to claim the entire chair, perhaps making sure Yoday can't join him? Poor Yoda, so thankful he has a great new loving home, I think he is afraid to let you go! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Hi Eliza

I think it may be my first time visiting your blog - but hello!

Seems you had an issue with a vagabond machine - and now seems to be fixed. All good.

How on earth is your ginger cat still on that chair- he seems to be hanging off quite a bit. Oh, how funny are they. I have 2 cats too. And two dogs.

Gosh - falling off the roof (well, kinda) and landing on your feet - you could really have damaged your shins or ankles... if you're saying nothing is broken - then it was your lucky day and someone was looking over you maybe!

Poor 2nd mr pussy cat. I've heard of conjunctivitus because I've had it as a child - even if I can't spell it?! But if a vet is saying it's only the second case he's seen in 25 year - wow. Really hope he recovers soon - he's lucky to have you to care for him.

Happy WOYWW

Hiya, I don't think I've been to your desk before, so hello!

What lovely cats you have - how on earth is that first cat still on that chair the way he's laid. Reminds me of the funny cats you get on the internet or on Youtube! Aren't they funny! Sorry about your poorly little puss. Let's hope that the drops and TLC see that he makes a recovery. I've never heard of his condition - but have personal experience of conjunctivitis - even if I can't necessarily spell it!

So glad you are ok after your fall... you could have done some serious damage!

Good on Sizzix for coming though with a new machine for you - hope it lasts a long time.

Eliza.. Am so thankful that you didn't do any permanent damage in your fall, gracious how lucky you were..but you poor thing, getting over that sort of shock takes a while. Good on you with Yoda, what a saviour you are. Our Hreat British Bake off has finished..one of the best profs we have in my opinion, hope amongst all the hard work that you can enjoy it!!

I forgot to y, there are gals here I the UK who are on their fourth Vagabonds...all replaced by Sizzix, so don't give up if it doesn't work out. t would seem that the electrical adjustments for various countries simpy can't be do e as cheaply as they want!!

A very interesting post - you have certainly had an eventful time recently. I hope this Vagabond lives up to expectation and you have many years of faithful service from it. And I am so glad Yoda is on the mend - our Bonnie suffers from ear problems and does not like the drops either so I can imagine only too well the grief you are getting for administering eye drops too - it's for their own good :)) Elizabeth, later than ever, x #75

Hi Eliza! I missed you last week being I was in hospital, so I've just had a totally enjoyable time visiting your post from that week and this. I am sorry about your fall, tho, heavens! And sorry to hear that Yoda had a close call. You are his angel for sure.

Your cards are stunning, Eliza, both in their design and execution, and in the sheer quantity of them! Well done!!

Have a great couple of weeks as I won't be on WOYWW next week with our Thanksgiving keeping me in the kitchen! Continued good luck with all things re the Bake Off Show!

And I do hope nothing residual pops up from your ghastly fall. That was a close one, girl! Darnell #41
