WOYWW 298

Hello Deskers, another week to add to the list and mine has been productive just a little, I finished the last journal page you can see it here. Now I am in the midst of creating another.  Had a play with my bestie on Sunday and created a couple of simple cards using Stampin Up products.  The hooter card in the middle top of the desk and the lotus blossom flower in the middle bottom.  Loooove the lotus stamp and will be making heaps more of these for sure.  Received some new supplies beautiful metallic pastel colour pan pastels and a bundle of new dies for cards and the best yet a new bottle of clear gesso.  I also tested out a spray bottle that was sent to me ages ago with putting matte gel medium through it to spray and seal my journal pages and bingo it is brilliant, much better than trying to paint the medium on, yes I had to do a few applications (3) but boy oh boy was it worth the experiment. For those of you who want to see out the window here it is.  A rather grey overcast day, not really summer is it, well not for us here in Melbourne.

Yoda on the other hand has been a joy to have around, he loves his cuddles and his mummy, I think he ventured outside the other day as I came home the back door was ajar, the dog did it 'yes the dog when left outside, can open the door and come in, but he never closes it, how rude of him.  Well Yoda was on my bed covered in cobwebs and really dirty, far more dirty than normal.  I don't have cobwebs in the house or leaves for that matter so the presumption of a filed trip is most likely.  It makes your heart really patter to think is he still in the house.

How can you not love a beautiful face like this.  I am wanting to get my WOYWW post done and he wants a cuddle.  Ah he will have to wait, he wouldn't co-operate before when I wanted a photo, I do have to admit this one is a little priceless, see the right paw reaching up to pat me and say 'hey here I am, you love me I know you do so pick me up'  sorry about the scraps of paper on the floor.

I hope you all have a wonderful WOYWW please join in and show your desk, if you do then pop on over to Julia's place called the Stamping Ground she can explain all.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Great fun things on your desk. Will have to try the spray bottle idea. Ah yes those pets can capture our hearts. My big cat loves to play with scraps of paper on the floor...the small they are the better challenge for him to move them!! Funny to watch him. Enjoy WOYWW, hopefully spring will get here and there SOON.

Lovely journal page and card and a busy creative desk. Yes I would love that little face too but I have a cat of my own and she always wants to be where I am. My hubby reckons she's 16 now. I'll post a picture next week. Yoda wins cutest face tho!
Have a happy week

Great Pan Pastels - perfect for spring layouts - of course, I'm forgetting you're on the other side of the Globe! Interesting idea to spray gel medium! Do you water it down? Mine is way too thick for that! Yoda just melts my heart! Thanks for stopping by earlier! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #25

I am envious of those new pan pastels..I have wanted some of those :) I giggled when you said hooter card though because here in the USA hooters is a restaurant where they only hire sexy girls and make them wear small t shirts and tiny shorts :P Shel-PaperOctilloStudio #42

Hi Eliza, that is such a cute picture of Yoda- totally impossible to ignore such a look! I haven't invested in Pan Pastels yet- I keep looking at them, but so far I've been good, at least on that front. On stamps, not so much, lol. The stamps on your cards do indeed look beautiful, I can see why they will get so much use.
Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #21 xx

Yoda is an adorable little cat! He is So cute.
We have a big, fluffy black Tom-the-Cat here. He also puts up his paw, to beg (usually for food, also for attention). We love him to bits!

Your cards are pretty - but I was most interested in the journal page (?) you are making there - would like to see that when it's done!

Have a good week - hope the sun shines for you. We have sunshine today, although it's cold still (February=Winter here!). Making the most of it, as the forecast for Thursday and Friday is Rain Again!

Oh my! Our Cindy is always doing the reach up with paw for attention. We call it is "Paws in the air for petting!" pose. Yoda certainly is a sweetie and how scary to think he ventured outside but luckily wandered back in safely. Lots of great new things on your desk to play with. Judy #57

Do you use Pan Pastels a lot? I haven't bought any yet, because they are quite expensive, so I never tried them. Spraying gel medium? That works? Must be a special bottle.
Yoda's shot is adorable, he is a very special cat.
Thank you for your earlier visit and your kind words.

I like the idea of spraying the gel medium, guessing you must water it down. Yoda is such a sweetie, reminds me of my Maisie, not interested until she sees you're busy and then just has to come and sit on your knee even if you are working on the computer. Often think she is part cat as she will jump on things if you don't take enough notice even though she knows it's not allowed lol!
Have a great week, Angela x 34

Your desk looks so interesting - I love the card you made, it's beautiful and the Pan pastels look fab - I didn't know you could get metallic ones - I'll be on the look out now! I don't know how you get any work done with Yoda's cute little face looking up at you like that - he really is the star of WOYWW!
Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier, I hope you have a great week,

Awww, adorable little Yoda! As I write this, I have got Beatrice asleep on my chest with her head downwards. For a small light kitty she is very heavy, and leaning on my arm too!

Your work looks so lovely, and the metallic pan pastels sound great. Haven't seen those yet.

Thank you for your two sweet comments, Eliza, and I wouldn't dream of deleting either of them!! Kitty cuddles are the best, and gratefully received. Please give Yoda a special fluffy cuddle back from me - not sure if Beatrice would agree to sending one but Phoebe might! Our kitties are a great comfort to me atm.

I'd very much appreciate the combined unique protective skills of you and Yoda at the moment. Hop on that plane any time you like. While you're at it, you can go into Mum's flat, all guns blazing, and sort her out. I can't take much more of this c**p, esp. not one week away from my surgery, which I am becoming increasingly terrified of!

As for your desk, those pan pastels look like they are fun. I've been tempted to order some but first need to actually use some the supplies I already have. Have fun creating with them! :)

Ooh interesting journal page.

When I read it was a 'hooter' card I thought you meant one about 'that' USA restaurant chain...so looked on my laptop screen(rather than the wee one on my phone) and saw it was an Owl card!! :-)

Thanks for visiting my desk already

New goodies, OHYES, that's the best to get up and play isn't it? I love how Yoda asks for your attention, and never mind paperscraps on the floor. It's a sign of hard work (Ha!) Thanks for stopping at my blog last week. I'm wayyy late with my visits (but at least all the housekeeping work that I was whining about last week is done, YAY!) Happy belated woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #39
