WOYWW 282

Had a quiet week at home this week not doing much at all, tried to do some art, that didn't work. So cutting to the chase a desk full of crap.  See what you think, created a couple of tags and have another to go postal.  See down further for the picture.  I blotted out the name so they don't know they are receiving it, gosh I am talking in riddles today.  Silly I know but hey this is my state of mind.  Without further adoooooo the desk ta da, see what I mean!  The little jar has baby oil in it used to blend colour for those who want to know.

Tag and envelope ready to go postal, Yes I have deliberately blotted out the receivers name, ha ha......  I know you see my blog.....  had to show something for my weeks work.

The bay window has a few things in it, the garden still awaits my service to finish off the front, not much more to go, that came to a halt rather fast due to health, the clivia's have finished their flowering spurt and I have roses everywhere in bloom.

A friend from the charity work dropped in with some material for me to use.  Seriously I can't get my act together so what in the blue blazes am I going to do with more upholstery material, probably journals, been wanting to do some for ages now.

My bestie had a birthday on Sunday gone but have not caught up with her yet, been under the weather and zero energy, hence why my desk is full of crap, just can't seem to bust this bug, it is nasty.  Can't talk on the phone no voice, I squeeeeeek like a mouse.  She doesn't need my germs.

Oh and some happy mail came at the end of last week, a beautiful journal from Judy, the pages inside are so perfect for crafting and I have wanted a journal this size for ages. Now to actually put things in it.....   I might have to work up some courage before trashing the journal.

For the Yoda lovers of the world, he is not happy today he had his ears, eyes and a bath, he has done a runner, snapped this photo last night when he was snuggling in his blanket with me.  Do you like how his legs are crossed, he does it all the time.  Such a snuggle puss.

Want to see more desks then go and visit Julia at the Stamping Ground she can explain how to link up and join in on the fun.

Hugs and happy crafting to all

Hope you soon feel much better, Eliza. No fun when you have time off and no energy to enjoy it!!
Gorgeous fabric - but I too would be pushed to know what to do with upholstery fabric - other than upholstery, that is!
Take care. God bless.

Poor you, you really are under the weather. Hope it is not that Flat Susan wore you out with all the trips and things you took her on it really was a journey - a chapter in itself. Thank you.
Love your tag - the same image as my door hanger on my craft room.
Poor Yoda, still a guy as important as he is has to have the occasional clean up session. Hope he is back now and snuggling up to you - that will make you both feel so much better
Hugs, Neet 29'ish

Have fun with the fabric - have you seen the book 15 minutes play? Have a look. Might be just the thing for your stash.

Oh blast. another word verification I could just about manage the number but the letters always take me thee or more tries and playing them as sound is even worse. I may have to give up in the end. One more go...

Happy WOYWW!

Poor you feeling so grotty...there are some weird bugs and viruses going around here too :-(. Hope the rest helps and you're back to normal (!!) again very soon.
Love that journal that Judy sent you...be brave and dive in, she'd much rather you use it for anything than leave it pristine...honest!

Hugs to you and Yoda, hoping you shake off that bug really quickly. The tags look great so, although you feel rough, it doesn't look like your mojo has gone. Hope the second half of the week is better than the first. Hugs, Chris # 24

I love how you decorated the envelope! I'm always a bit concerned that if overdecorate it, it won't get delivered. It's silly, I know. I've tried blending colour pencils with baby oil, but it didn't work for me. I just got oil all over it and the colours didn't blend. I must have done it wrong. Yoda's soooo cute!

Lovely post, Eliza, and I adore that tag with the matching envelope! Aww poor old Yoda! He does look a bit put out. Poor little Beatrice is being shut in the bathroom all day tomorrow with her litter tray of special granules as my hubby has to get another urine sample out of her to take to the vet's now she's completed the latest course of antibiotics. Last time she held out for 2 days without going, and then peed on the floor, rendering the small sample my hubby was able to collect useless as it was full of dust and muck of the floor lol!! What a norty girl.

Hope you feel better soon. I've felt c**p all week and worse today after a really stressful run-in with my utterly selfish mum this a.m. Thank goodness for a lovely hubby who acts as buffer and Hug Provider On Demand lol!!

Happy WOYWW,

Just to be able to grab a screen shot - not WORD verification but number one. I prefer this one as I almost never have trouble seeing what the numbers are. With the word one, one word is always clear, the other is ALWAYS very difficult to identify the letters.
If everyone did the number verification I would be totally happy :) And a bunch of people said "Oh I don't have it" but I see it - which makes me think wordpress bloggers (or maybe even any non-google logged in viewer) see it no matter what.

I'll grab the screen shot and email it to you so you can see that it IS here and I'm not crazy. Well, I may be crazy but thats a different issue....

Thanks for your return visit, Yoda, and for your very encouraging remarks!! I'm sure I'll soon get back on track design wise, and I'm not too worried - one can't dismiss one's whole talent on the basis of a couple of minor blips, after all. I KNOW what I can do because of past record, and there's no reason why that should suddenly depart permanently, is there!! Anyway, thanks for helping me keep in track.

My problems aren't helped at the moment by my 93-yr-old mum being extremely difficult and creating a lot of stress. I had a very bad day yesterday and felt terrible so didn't achieve anything at all creative-wise.

Late! So sorry you arent feeling great, it's such a waste of time. And I think if you're feeling a bit crappy, even your favourite spaces get on your nerves and don't inspire. From here your desk looks ripe and ready. And I'm not buying the baby oil story, looks conveniently like Gin to me.

Hi Eliza! Happy Belated WOYWW! I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly! In spite of that, your post was oodles of fun! I love your neat desk, the awesome tag card, the gift journal and, of course, sweet Yoda!! I hope you are feeling better soon!! Hugs, Darnell #66

Thanks for your lovely comment about my album, Eliza. I'm very pleased with how it's going, but I'm going to have to cut back on the textures from now on because the book is getting really thick, and if I'm not careful it won't close! When I first completed the book construction I thought I'd given myself loads of leeway but it's amazing how quickly it thickens up.

Well I'm sending you a weekend hug Eliza and hope you're feeling better and pulled yourself out of the doldrums. It grabs me now and again especially when hubbys away in stretches..like now, I am supposed to be inserting pages in my Christmas cards - my envelopes are addressed so you'd think I'd just get on with it all and they'd be ready for posting tomorrow but I'm dithering - lets both shake ourselves and put on the music. Cheers happy late WOYWW Robyn
