Sun Rising Makes Me Smile

Sometimes you don't need music as you are driving along the highways of Australia because the beauty that surrounds you is enough to soak up and enjoy, especially when you are travelling on your own.  As you can see there are not many cars on the road .
This is the beautiful sight I get to see some mornings on the highway home.  I had to just pull over and take a few snap shots with my phone.  I was really disappointed that I didn't have my good camera with me.  I am on the road from Geelong to Melbourne but Melbourne was still about 60 ks away.
The photos are in the order which they were taken and the sky looked like it was on fire and the land at the bottom was too, but it was the sun brightening it's way into our part of the world from the east.  Strangely enough in the short few minutes that this was happening, the last photo which I think is the sealer of the deal, was taken on the same spot but in a 180 degree turn looking back toward Geelong which is in the southwest, where I had come from and it tells a completely different story.  The sky is bright and the moon is still in the sky, well you can see it in the power lines.

It is amazing to see the direct opposite within not even a minute or two of time. Hard to believe we are in winter when you see beautiful sunrises and fire skies and the night before there was an horrendous storm.  Thankfully Geelong didn't get the storm it went around them and headed straight for Melbourne.

The world we live in can be such a beautiful place.  I know these type of skies and sights and even pictures of the moon in full or partial state at night are so calming and delightful, such beauty too.

I've never linked on a Friday before, time and life has never permitted me to take advantage of the pleasure, so hopefully this is received with it's natural beauty of our country

I am linking this to Annie at A Stitch In Time for Friday Smiles week 75

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

Hugs Eliza

Gorgeous photos Eliza, it's nice to meet someone who feels the same about this wonderful world in which we are blessed to live. I often wonder what early men and women must have thought when they saw lightening or a rainbow or heard the thunder, they are magical to see. Too many people take it all too much for granted.
Have a great weekend, Angela x

I could repeat what the others have said about these lovely photos, but I'm simply impressed with the bigness and beauty of the land around you. It was good to see your country through your eyes (lens) because it's a great way to appreciate it. I can see why Kansas (US) is called Oz, too (other than the movie reference, of course). We have tons of flat lands, too. This really reminds me of home.

Of course, it can't be home because it appears from your photos that you don't know what side of the road you're supposed to drive on (GRIN).

Trying to catch up - so enjoyed the idea of you waving at Neet - just what I would have done too! These photos are marvellous aren't they - thousands of acres of sky you've got there, majesty above you. Gorgeous.
