Flowers In A Box

I have been saying for ages I am going to make one of these things, well here it is "Flowers In A Box Card" My DD is off to a special 18th birthday party tonight for a dear friend from high school, when she spotted the card style I then had to make one for her to go with her gift.  So this is my spin on it.  I don't always follow directions well either, needless to say I really did go out of the boundaries for this card.  I had to make a special envelope to go with the card, which I always do when sending mail, I think it adds that special touch and the receiver gets even more surprised.

I just happened to be late last night after finishing off the card and envelope that my dear friend and internet buddy Neet who has a blog called Hickydorums posted up this challenge with Artful Times 55 Mail Art calling for people to participate.  Brilliant says me as I rarely get a chance to participate in these challenges but a double whammy for me.  I am in a finishing up mood today and getting heaps done, yes I am under the pump to achieve and finalize things.

Now onto the supplies used the card stock was KaiserCraft and the paper used is also KaiserCraft but get this it is actually KaiserCraft wrapping paper, yep you read right.  I love there wrapping paper, actually I think it is the texture of the paper, I used the same paper to make the card as the present was wrapped in.  All the flowers are fussy cut from the paper and the butterflies were on it too.  The paper was called Candy Pop.  The star and numbers was cut with the Scan N Cut and the balloons was cut with EzyCut Die Called Balloons.  The cup cake was and old stamp that I have had for ages and I don't know who created it, knowing me probably KaiserCraft and no I don't work for them. LOL

Hope you like what you see, I will be back soon with another card and envelope done.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

What a lovely envelope Eliza, and what intricate fussy cutting you had to do to produce it.
