Sorry getting to the desk a little late today have been for a little drive into the country to visit a work colleague and decided to take the scenic route instead of the highways/freeways. I so love the country but unfortunately it is so dry and ready for bushfire's. On the way home I stopped off at my uncles place to see a few things and re-acquaint myself with terrain I had not seen in a long time and came across this massive Kangaroo just grazing on his land, this Roo and we call them here in Australia was massive he was so much taller than me and the muscles on this boy were amazing. Thought a few international viewers might like to see one of our national animals
So onto my desk, I have had a few days off and started doing the techniques in the Compendium of Curiosities book 1 and well I can say that I have been good, yep achieved quite a few in actual fact and had fun doing it.
I didn't do the grunge thing due to a friend having an allergic reaction to the Grungeboard. I have serious allergy problems and didn't want to go there. The time I do have off work I want to be able to enjoy it and not be in hospital, so I stay away from Grungeboard. Anyway you can see the tags on my desk as proof that I have been playing. I love the technique where you use water resist the most I think. I will do a post in more detail about it later.
Now onto the beautiful little boy Yoda, he wouldn't look up by the way, but here he is sitting on the little child's chair in the kitchen next to me while I cook dinner. Sorry not a good photo was taken with the phone. He is such a funny little man but a total joy to have around.
So this is me for this week, want to see more then head on over to Julia's at the Stamping Ground and surf the net to your hearts content. Warning grab a cuppa first and join in.
Hugs to all
Eliza

Oh my...you've got those gorgeous windows like Julia! Looks like you've been busy. Love the photos too!
Love. love, love your kangaroo photos! When I was in Australia I managed to get just 1 photo of a kangaroo! There were no where to see! I also managed to get a photo of 1 Koala but that was all the wildlife I managed! Your Curiosity work is very nice!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

Cam and I thought the Roo pic was awesome! We only get to see those at the zoo, so it would be so cool to just be driving along and see one out in a field. Do you have wild rhino's too? Cam wondered and I don't know so I could google it, but I figure you'd know best! :) Anyways, your tags look really great...I'll have to come back and read more about the water resist tech when you post it because I don't know that one and it sounds fun. I also spied a Prima paper pack on your desk! I just loooooove their patterns soooo much! I just got bunches of their paper packs from Songbird Crafts on Artfire. The romance novel, zephyr, and songbird collections. And a few others I can't think of the names right now. I hid them, I mean put them away before I took my WOYWW pic a little while ago but I do have a few pieces of the songbird and a songbird stamp set still on my desk in the pics. Well, hope you are doing fabulous and getting plenty of playtime! :) Hugs, Deeyll #163
wow, taller than you? How big do these guys get? I must go google Roos! Love the picture of shy Yoda ♥ waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ☺
Oh, love all the pictures. The kitty is such a sweetie! As for the allergy to grundge board, I never heard of that before! So definitely stay away from it if you think you might also have a reaction to it!

Fab pic of the roo! Wen we visited Australia a few years ago, we went to an animal sanctuary where we saw lots of different sized Roos....the thing that really struck me was the enormous size of the male's rude bits....they were massive!!! Lucky lady kangaroos, say I!!
I love the colours of your works in progress, all bright and zingy. Nice to see when we are in the depths of winter and snow here :)

Fabulous looking tags - love all the colours! Been too stuck on DT stuff lately, need some time to just play... Great pics of the kangaroo - thanks for sharing those, and for your visit, and belated happy WOYWW!

great looking desk and like a lot have said I love the windows and all the light! We had multiple fires here last year and it looks like this year is going to be just as bad. The lake is down over 7 feet, farm ponds have dried up, and we were put on water conservation last week and it is still winter here in Oklahoma, USA! Miserable weather. We need rain or moisture of some sort but have only had .5 in this winter and it is the wet season!! Love all things Tim Holtz and I love both Compendiums even if they are intended to sell you products. The spritz and flick technique is a favorite of mine. I didn't realize you could have an allergy to grunge board. I thought it was just paper...I may have to look into that keep track cause I react to stuff and it aggravates the ME and FM. Love the Roo pic! Thanks for stopping by my desk. I love all the sharing on WOYWW and I hope you have a great week! Vickie #43

Robin. #109 and 111. Go figure that one. I boo booed
Your desk is so sunny and bright, what a great place to work. And, your work is lovely. Love the Roo, I'll be over in June to visit family, I'll be having coffee in the morning watching them graze. May rain find you all soon.
Sorry I am late, the internet keeps falling over (maybe it's the heat?). Love what I can see of those tags. Oh and your kitty always brings a smile to my face!
It's always a pleasure to see your little man, Yoda. he has changed so much since you took him in and he is truly beautiful now.
Sorry to hear about the dryness, wish i could send you some of the UK rain as apparently we had our second wettest year since records began.
Thanks for the Roo picture, he looks so powerful.
Hugs, Neet xx 7
How lovely for us non-Aussies to see a wild Joey! Are the regular occurrences for you or were you surprised to see him? Love the tags, bright and cheerful as others have said.
