Created this Journal for my DD she is absolutely crazy obsessed with Egypt, she is always jotting down bits n pieces in relation to the place and Egyptology, so in my down time I whacked this special book together for her. I am not going to be around much in the next 6 weeks and this is something she can work in and on and fill me in about it when I am around, nothing like getting a little idea off the ground to keep her distracted. Stamped the image with Printblocks Egypt Stamp that I have had for light years, aged it with distress inks, embossed the chipboard with rustic powder and gold and embossed some more. Had this little piece of wax embellishment laying around and thought wow this will go well on there. The corners were shiny silver, that I picked up in one of those cheap shops many moons ago for that special job, so I aged them with alcohol inks then embossed them with rustic powder and touched them up with gold, after all the Egyptians loved their gold. The inside I put some really lovely gold paper that is a specialist paper from a local supplier. DD loves it and that is the main thing, now to see what she puts in it, when I am not here.

Ooh, gorgeous! What a blessed DD you have. :) I'm still planning to do this sort of thing myself someday...you know, when I get the time! lol But mine probably won't be as awesome as yours, though you do inspire me with your ideas and tips. Thanks! :)
