WOYWW 165

Ok it is official the world is spinning faster and we cant stop it  ...................................                            Again another week has flown by and it seems like nothing has been achieved, well nothing significant anyway.  Did send a card overseas and waiting on the person to say they have received it before posting it on here.  Managed to put a few papers on my desk but done nothing with them , even some beautiful ribbon there too. LOL.   CD's still in the holding area, that is the baskets on the left, still plan to use them sometime and don't want to put them away just yet.   I keep all of my stamps in CD boxes and they are catalogued, it is the best system ever.  Been trying out this new tape runner by Xyron and to be honest it really isn't that good.   I even have refils for it, but it just seems to dissapear fast like all tapes.  Hooter is happy nestled in the sidelines with the badge nearby, he doesn't like staying in the same place, he is always moving around.
I have added this image of part of  my storage system, everything has it's own labeled container and should be in it. LOL  I thought some might be amused with this setup.  This is all on the wall behind me when I sit at my desk.   In the chest of drawers is my sizzix dies and other type of dies that are bulky.   I do have a few mounted stamps and to be honest they are to big to be put into cd boxes so they are staying put as is, I really can't explain why.

So onto the fun stuff that has beenhappening social wise.

Spent some time with some dear friends that own a coffee shop and helped them out a bit, yep and drank coffee and ate cakes too.   I know, I know I am bad but I was good at it.

My Dad celebrated his 79th Birthday on Friday and we had a surprise dinner for him and that went down really well.  To co-ordinate my family with the hours we all keep, it is a miracle that all can attend but we did.  I try and make it extra special because my dear mum passed away 5 years ago now and we all still miss her dearly.

I have been catching up on paperwork but have not been doing horrendous hours, I have been putting it in around the (home) office though, trying to catch up on the end of month stuff, and you know when all the invoices have to be out.  Nope have not been watching the Olympics either, I work enough with TV than to go out of my way to watch it for leisure, especially the live to air stuff.  I do have many friends over the other side of the big pond working on the broadcast; I am sure they are fine.

Why am I telling you this and showing you, its all Julia’s fault LOL Julia  at The Stamping Ground started people from all around the world, dropping in and checking on your desk status and yes they leave comments too.  So if you are interested, make sure your space is the way you like it, post a picture onto your blog and link it back to her, the details are on her site.  Yes some are real neat and tidy, some are lived upon, some messy to say the least and some are downright interesting.  So head on over to her place the link is here check it out for yourself.  As for me, if you visit please leave a comment, and also if you want one back I will gladly do it, just turn off that word verification thingy as it really does upset the applecart and cause problems.  I love hearing from you all and will visit you back.

Happy crafting to all
Eliza

I get what you mean, I'm running around like a blue (bottomed) fly and I'm still the same, if not worse as I was this morning. Thank you for my snoop, have a great week!

Hi there Eliza, love looking at your desk and seeing little Hooter and wow what a super storage system, you would definitely have to have everything labelled or else I'm sure you'd never find it.
Know what you mean about missing your Mum, tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of my Dad's passing and boy I miss him so much too.
Take care and have a great crafty week.

You would definitely win the Gold Medal if there was a storage event at the Olympics - that is awesome, I love it. You can see at a glance where everything is - I hate wasting time searching for stuff, drives me mad!!
Thank you for the birthday wishes, I have been extremely spoiled with lovely crafting stuff and am going to get Julia drunk later on!!

I'm not watching the Olympics, either! :) Loved seeing your back wall...*someone* has a label gun and knows how to use it! lol I love mine but its always running out of battery! I'd use it way more often if I was able to find a cord to power it. I wanted to use the cd cases for my stamps, too, but the ones I found were too skinny and the stamps wouldn't fit...after that debacle I think I just gave up the idea! Quit a little too soon, didn't I? Anyways, interesting desk and social happenings this week...sounds like you've been a social butterfly! :) And you know what? I heard someone give a talk and they said they read about the harmonics of the universe, see they, like scientists or something, have instruments so they can hear the universe and its actually making music and, even more interestingly enough, the tempo of the music has been picking up more and more. His point was that could be one reason all people seem to feel like time is just flying by faster and faster, because it really is. Time really is speeding up! Fascinating, huh? Well, anyways hope you are enjoying a less hectic pace and get to do some crafting! :) The less hectic part of my comment seems ironic, but I meant work wise with the mega-long hours and such being over for now, see? :)

Krikey, Eliza, I thought I had a lot of stuff!! I see your tree is still blooming beautifully and your card is beautiful and your system of organization sounds terrific! I will no doubt pull all my rubber off my wood some day, but while I have the space, guess I won't tackle that job.

Thanks for coming to visit me earlier and have a great week! Darnell #34

The world is spinning so fast we have to hold on so we don't fall off! Sure is a pretty view outside your window. I think I might find that distracting, but certainly must better than a TV blaring. I love all your organization and storage system. Is it a pain when you want to get at one of the boxes near the bottom? It looks like it wouldn't be too bad, but I always wonder about stacked boxes. I have stacked paper boxes and that is a not so good when you want a bottom one. Those things are HEAVY.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have recovered from your ironing concerns. I did most of the pile but still have a load to get out of the way.

Blown away by all your storage, mega huge. Love the butterfly cards and the ones near the window too. BJ#76

I have some OCD tendencies, so your storage wall is like a fantasy of mine. LOL! I have something like that in my studio's closets, but not nearly as catalogued. Happy Birthday to your Dad. Blessings!
