HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 2012

To all the Mothers out there in the world,
I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day.

Below is the card I have given my Mother In-Law Sylvia, it arrived in the post on Friday and she was pleased to receive.  Due to work commitments we are not catching up with her this year.

The stamp is a dogwood flower by Impression Obsession Inc. No H12004

I have coloured the flowers with Tria Pens, used Kaisercraft paper called These Days, cut into strips, a butterfly punch, inked, then some stickles 'frosted lace' applied, ribbon by celebrate and a boarder strip from the Kaisercraft paper pad 'Bonjour' The corner dies are Sizzix Die that in unknown and it has been around for many years in my collection but a favourite.

Now for the actual product on the flowers the glossy stuff, this was actually a bit of my impatience coming out in me as I wanted to get the card into the post sooner rather than later.  I applied the 'Plaid Royal Coat Dimensional Magic' and wanted to speed up the drying process.  This is when all was about to go to the outhouse..... the stuff started to sizzle, crackle and pop, just like cocoa pops and yes it was crunchy, just like in the add.  I started to panic, yep panic.  Then I thought keep it going, do the lot what have you got to loose, a crappy card.  Start again and put the next one into an express bag...... not.  Well to my pleasant delight I actually enjoyed the end result, it turned out amazing and so much better in real life.  I am thrilled, it has bubbles, lumps bumps and so much more.  I will definitely use this boo boo in the future that is for sure.
