Roses Roses Everywhere WOYWW 151

                                                                    It all started like this

and rapidly advanced to this ( a little bit of manic behaviour I think)

all flowers need leaves to make them shine.

and ended up turning into these

and now I have a desk full of roses, cornflowers and all sorts of other flowers.

I am still planning on making more types of flowers and some of these roses should have crackle or even bling on them but I thought as they are going into stock, I would add the extras as they are being used this way they are more taylored for the job.  Now onto bagging them up so they are in order, I can't just chuck them all into a container that would do my head in trying to sift through them all to find the right colour.

So some have said my desk is "to tidy" in the past posts and I am now saying "blah blah this is my messy desk with more to come"

I am also happy to announce to I was able to get around to everyones desk in this last week and spy a few really interesting things happening.  Thank goodness I do night shift and I can spy during work hours.

If you want to see why I am doing this, it all about showing off your desk in it's glory on Wednesdays when Julia from the Stamping Ground and co friends all upload their desks to take a tour around the world to sticky beek into what others are doing.  It is fun.  So if you want to join in here is the link.

What a wonderful desk to have it covered in flowers! They look amazing all together like that! Looking forward to seeing what you make...
You kindly stopped by and asked what OFSTED was - they are the authority for schools and sadly parents place too much faith in what the inspectors say after only being at the school for 2 days. It also sends the teachers into a flat spin which raises anxieties even more! Let's hope this visit goes without a hitch - but they rarely do! Much Wednesday love x

Wow! those flowers are fabby! That is something I really need to have a proper go at, I've had a little dabble, struggled and gave up! You mentioned a pen and licorice allsorts container on my desk, well the pen has a "Clanger" on it (a character from an old kids tv show) and the Licorice allsorts container is a mug, I got it at easter with some allsorts in! Bit different to an egg??!! I have too may mugs already so thought I could use it to pop stuff in on my desk :o) x

Karen said...

Me again! What die cuts do you use to make those gorgeous flowers? I make cards for cancer charities and I'm sure they would help increase sales if I can find out how to make them! Thanks!

Holy cow! Look at all those flowers! You've been a flower making machine! I had a good laugh at the crumpled step of flower making, a bit manic looking indeed. I think that is a great idea to separate them out otherwise you will get lost looking through them for just that one special one. That's some smart thinking. Something I would think of only about the 3rd or 4th time I had to sort through the whole lot.

Just love all those flowers on the desk, I have one of those spiral flower dies and should really just get it out and practise a bit more! How are you making the cornflowers? As to the dishcloths, the yarn is 100% cotton as it wears much better, but it's only $1.79 a ball and I got some on clearance much cheaper than that. I just prefer to make my own stuff than be consumer driven most of the time. Of course, that ethos doesn't extend to crafting!!!
